"We had an amazing time at Skara Brae. The room is lovely (we were in the room with the adjacent sitting room) and the views of Lake Superior are worth paying for. Ron was the consummate host, there when you needed him but respectful of space and privacy. The coffee set out at 7 am so we could watch the sunrise from the porch overlooking the lake was a wonderful touch and indicative of how much thought has gone into making his guests feel welcome. Breakfast was amazing (omelet with veg, sausages, fruit and potatoes) and conversation was lively and friendly. The resident cat helped add the homey touch. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a restful, relaxing break with gorgeous views and a bit of pampering!"
