3,8 sur 5I enjoyed my stay at B&B Villa Rome.
novembre 28, 2010
The house is located at a distance of one minute walk from the railroad-metropolitan station Ottavia, and it is quiet because is protected from the street noise with a brick wall. There is an open water pool for guests. The food was much better than I had at other B&B places, it included a big variety of ripe fruits -it was November; the guests are allowed to use the kitchen with a gas stove, many pans, dishes, spices, cooking oil. The hosts were very friendly, were always ready to help, even they made phone calls because I do not speak Italian. They even allowed to use their computer to check and send E-mail. Later I discovered that across the street from their house you can use Internet, telephone and even Skype at a very low price of less than a euro for half an hour - the cheapest service that I found in Rome, and I did not find Skype available at other places.

Villa Rome is a very nice palazzo north of Rome easily reachable by train and night bus. The rooms are individually nicely arranged and clean. The owners Isabella and Paolo are very friendly and helpful in every situation in terms of maps, intersting places to visit, breakfast, keeping the suitcases when you catch the night train and want to see Rome another time before you leave at night. We always enjoy our stay very much and feel as a part of their family. Every year we come back!

5 sur 5Villa Rome - A Home Away From Home

My husband and I took my parents to Italy for the first time and for any trip to Italy, Rome is a necessity. We wanted somewhere within Rome itself, but outside of the touristy bustle so we could experience true Roman culture. We chose to stay at Villa Rome B&B. Villa Rome B&B is just outside of Rome itself (only a 20 minute train ride will get you within the major tourist sites). Our rooms were clean and with ample room for the two of us. We had keys so we could come and go as we pleased without disturbing anyone and they were always available if we needed them, but kept out of our way when we needed solitude. There was always a large spread of Italian favorites at breakfast (juice, coffee, pastries, nutella...) and Isabella and Paolo went out of the way to bring fresh pastries in from the local bakery in the morning as well as to have fresh fruit from their garden on the table. They were always full of suggestions on where to go for dinner, and should we have needed to ask, they would have been open to suggestions for things to see as well. One day we fell victim to a transportation strike, and the owners even picked us up from downtown Rome and when we didn't know where to go to eat, took us to their own restaurant where we ate the most delicious food. We had a wonderful time, and I am grateful to them for showing my parents a wonderful first trip to Europe as well.

4,2 out of 5Wedding in Rome

We had a wedding at St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican and a wedding at Villa Miani which overlooks the city of Rome. We were in a group of 10 and were thrilled with our stay at Villa Rome. Isabella and Paola were very gratious and extremely helpful with information with getting around Rome, tours, and transportation. The location is ideal with the train station and bus stop nearby, a cafe shops and restaurants. You feel part of the locals and makes your trip a fun adventure. The rooms are quaint, charming, and clean. The bathrooms are small however typical in Europe. A nice way to start our day was with Breakfast which included coffee, tea, hot cocoa, juices, cereal, yogurt, toast, and brioche. It is an excellent value and was the perfect choice. We have traveled quite extensively and are picky with our choice in accommodations. VILLA ROME made our trip most memorable. We would definitely return and select over any 5 star hotel.

My family and I stayed here for a short city break and we absolutely loved it! The B&B is closely situated to the train station which is roughly 20mins from the the city centre. Upon our stay we truly felt like one of the locals as our location was understated yet relaxed. The B&B provides excellent service and the owners are very hospitable. Would highly recommend!
4,8 out of 5Great place in a convenient location
novembre 03, 2008
We had been looking for a b&b in Rome, outside the center (too crowded), but near enough to have easy access to all sites, in- and outside the town. We would come by car, but since we would move around with public transport most of the time, we were looking for a safe place to leave the car. Villa Rome has met all of our expectation. It's a very nice place, the bedroom was large, with the bed for our daughter situated in a little niche so we could read without disturbing her, and vice versa. The bathroom was complete with shower and clean. We had a little kitchen corner in our room, but we did not use it, since the landlady told us we could use the large breakfeast room also at night for dining. So we got us some cheese, ham, bread and fruit from the nearby shop and had dinner in the breakfeast room. Breakfeast was rich. Every second day we found a huge box of fresh "cornetti", the italian croissant, on the table. The one thing we loved was the fact that breakfeast was not served, but we found a buffet every morning, so we could get up and eat whenever we wanted to. The Ottaviano train station ist just nearby. A train to the center passes every 20 minutes, and the landlady gave us a map where all metro stations in Rome were marked and named, so getting around was very easy. All in all we have been very pleased. Thank you!
