"I was a little hesitant to stay at this B and B because of the location but after spending a week in this part of Harlem I must say I fell in love with this part of NYC. Not a lot of fine dining close by. We we're coming from Atlanta so good luck impressing us with soul food, but we did go to the Apollo theatre and that was an AMAZING part of our trip! The subway is a block away and I felt safe between the subway and our temporary home. Since it's so close to the subway you can get anywhere within a reasonable amount of time. Once you are in the B and B and in you are in your room, you are locked down like a fortress. I really liked that aspect of the place. The food they provided us was adequate for the breakfast, everything was pretty healthy. We're healthy so that was cool. They gave us so much privacy we never even met the INN keeper to thank her. There's also a grocery store on down Frederick Douglas and a few convenient stores right around the corner should you need drinks and food. I think I'm coming back and when we do we'll bring some more folks and rent the other room. Very happy with our stay and we suggest you stay here if your looking for a safe affordable getaway to NYC!"
