  • The Frederick is our finest room with its own fireplace, large bathroom and a deck right outside the rooms exterior door. On the first level of the guest house easy access.
    Our sun-room has great space to relax and talk with warm sun shining in and great views of the courtyard and Conner Prairie across the street.
    Breakfast is a special time of day. It's the start of your adventure. Here at the Prairie Guest House we like to make breakfast special.
    Welcome to the Prairie Guest House. This is one of our signs on Allisonville Road. When you see this you know you're home.
    Our breakfasts are always prepared with the freshest ingredients and lots of love. Eat with a group or at a private table in the Sun Room
    Atkinson guest room is located on the main level on the north western corner of the guest house. The coffee station is just outside the room door.
    Bransfield guest room. With two full beds and an exterior entrance this room is great for friends or families.
    The table is set. We offer facilities for Bridal Showers, Corporate Breakout sessions, and family gatherings. Call us for special arrangements for your group.
    This is the Atkinson Bathroom. It is ADA certified. Each guest room at the Prairie Guest House has a private bath
    The Eastman suite has two double beds great for the kids, friends, or cousins. This room gets glowing sun rays every morning.
    On the second level of the guest house there is a wonderful little sitting room with a desk for playing games, laptop use, or just sharing stories.

    Our Talbott suite has two queen sized beds great for your family to call home, relax and enjoy the Prairie Guest House
    Frederick bathroom plenty of room lots of light.
    Our foyer in the guest house has all the comforts of home and a great place to congregate and get your group together. Call for special group rates.
    Our Caldwell suite has a king sized bed beautiful bathroom and great views of the sunset.

    With beautiful gardens, large native Indiana trees, and our very own barn, the Prairie Guest House takes you back to a simpler time. The mid 1800’s gothic farmhouse has large guest rooms each with their own bath facilities, and great common areas to relax and enjoy, your stay here will be comfortable. The early 1900’s cottage houses the kitchen and dinning areas, with a sunroom that glows all day long. We are also very lucky to have one of the best Yoga instructors in the area teach in the Prairie Yoga Studio located across the courtyard from your guest room. Directly north of Indianapolis only 30-45 minutes to downtown Indy. Closest towns include Carmel, Noblesville, Fishers, and Westfield. Shopping areas nearby included Castleton, Hamilton Commons, Carmel Arts District, and downtown Noblesville.

    Warm, Welcoming & Peaceful Stay

    I travel extensively throughout the Midwest and was looking for an interesting alternative to the usual hotel experience. The Prairie Guest House is a beautiful old farm house situated on a lovely and peaceful piece of property. The new owners/hosts John & Karen were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. My room was fresh and airy and my private bathroom was updated & clean. I awoke to a wonderful, healthy home cooked breakfast. I left feeling very rested and refreshed. I will definitely stay again my next time I'm in the Indianapolis area.

    Oh My– Prairie Guest House

    Oh my. We had a great time at the Prairie Guest House. Warm & cozy we slept in the 1870’s farmhouse and awoke to coffee, and a wonderful breakfast with great hospitality. We will definitely be back for more of the same at the Prairie Guest House.

    Located on the main floor in the Guest House the Bransfield has two queen beds. The east facing windows and exterior door are convenient to the parking area. The North facing windows overlook the courtyard and the Prairie Yoga Studio. This room is directly across from the Eastman room on the main level of the Guest House.

    Named after the Atkinson Hotel where many of the furnishings came from in the Guest House, this is an ADA certified room. Located on the main level it includes a large bath with a no-threshold shower. Additionally there is an exterior door with direct access to the front wrap around porch. This room is directly across from the Frederick room on the main level of the Guest House.

    Upstairs in the Guest House is the largest room we offer. The Hamilton, named after the county where the guest house resides, is tucked away near the top of the stairs. With two queen beds and room for four this is a great option for a family of four. This room can be shared as it connects with the Talbott to make a suite, however can be reserved separately as well.

    Residing in the old farmhouse section of the Guest House the Garrity is a prominent room. The high ceilings and the magnificent view of the surrounding prairie, courtyard, and main house make this one of our favorite rooms. This room is directly across from the Caldwell room on the second level of the Guest House.

    Upstairs in the old farmhouse section of the Guest House, the Caldwell is the room I like to call the ‘Sunset Room’. From its west facing windows you can enjoy the glow of the afternoon sun.
