The Loft Bed & Breakfast is a unique and relaxing retreat featuring the finest amenities in a scenic private setting. Located on 63 rolling acres between the many attractions and tourist sites in Springfield and historic Petersburg, Illinois, The Loft is the perfect setting for a romantic weekend, a girlfriend get-away, or a relaxing reunion with friends. While there are many Bed & Breakfast venues, there are none quite like this. It is located on “The Farm” which is the area’s premier outdoor attraction for beautiful touring gardens, an expansive gift shop, and even weddings and hayrides. You’ll enjoy deer, turkey, fox and an occasional eagle from the windows or the deck. Or take a leisurely hike down to the river bluffs. You’ll be surrounded by amazing peace and quiet. If you are into history, you’ll be minutes away from the Lincoln sites in Springfield and Petersburg. If you enjoy nature, you will be near Site M for hiking, fishing, boating, horseback riding and hunting. Visit the area wineries for live music and some great local wines. Take in a live outdoor show at Theatre in the Park at Lincoln’s New Salem. There are so many things to see and do. Or, if you just want to relax and spend some quality time with someone special, this is the place.

We celebrated my daughter's 12th Birthday at The Farm. My daughter and her 4 friends had a GREAT time. They want to live there! Gail and Eric attended to every small detail. I never had to ask for a thing. ALL needs were anticipated. The Farm is such a great find. A magical place full of beauty and peace. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. If you are thinking of staying there, I can tell you that you will NOT be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time staying at the loft. The accommodations were fantastic and the atmosphere was beautiful. We look forward to spending some time here again when the weather is warm and the gardens are in full bloom.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable night for 4 ladies to escape the craziness of home and day to day. Quiet, welcoming surroundings. Who wouldn't feel welcome when 4-hooved folks come to great you as you pull up? Just right for a get-away!

Charming, spacious and cozy. It was a great way to spend a cold February weekend. The beds were sumptuous, the gas stove delightful. The loft was so clean and simply decorated. Loved it--will be back again!

My husband and I took our first getaway after 13 years of parenting and this was the perfect place for us. The peaceful surroundings and quaint country shop were a delight. We will be back!

Oh my goodness! I happened to find The Loft by chance on the internet. Didn't know anything about it except for the pictures/website. It looked so darling but, you never know......Well, this place is everything and more! Everything detail of the space is so thoughtfully done and welcoming. Amazing walk-in shower room, awesome mattresses, cozy and comfortable couch, great deck and a beautiful setting. We loved seeing the horses and miniature donkeys. What a surprise! Gail is a terrific hostess and we cannot wait to go back. What a gift!

We booked a night at The Loft and left saying we should have stayed the entire weekend! The pure solitude instantly won us over. The warm welcoming we received from Gail added to the whole experience. We could have sat for hours on the back balcony enjoying eachother's company and the natural beauty of the land. The fire was perfect and warmed us just enough to enjoy a good night's sleep. We ended our stay with an early morning walk around the property and visited with the animals. If you haven't experienced this B & B, I would write it down on the "To Do" list!

Staying at the Loft was the best choice we could have made. It was lovely, peaceful, and comfortable beyond belief. Driving up the gravel driveway we had big smiles on our faces. Opening the door we just said, "Wow". It was a lot of fun seeing the farm animals too.
