1887 beautifully restored with 21st century luxury features to pamper guests. Attentive staff, cook's kitchen well-stocked. Can't wait to return! Close to DePaul University.
Excellent weekend getaway spot. Walkable to great shopping, food, theater. Quintessential Chicago neighborhood feel with a bit of university town added in. better way to see Chicago than glitzy Michigan Ave.
The Villa is such a pleasant place to stay after working all day. I've come to know the staff well & I look forward to coming back any time I'm in Chicago.
I asked if we could check in before 1pm and was told, that if the room was ready yes or leave the bags and come back later. The housekeeper was surprised when we arrived at 12. The Inn keeper was not present at any time during the day or evening neither was the housekeeper. When we returned at 6 pm a guest was present entertaining friends and giving out the security code over the phone. Music was loud coming from an upstairs room. This was still going on when we returned at 9pm.
This is not at the level of Bed and breakfast Inns we have stayed in previously. The facility is beautiful with an amazing modern kitchen. Our room was not cleaned very well; the toilet had some spray on the seat and was filthy underneath. The cook yourself breakfast, was well stocked and the housekeeper was on hand to show us where thing were and clean up after us. We would not stay again.
Loved the atmoshpere and accomodations of this updated brownstone. Ideally located next to DePaul University and the Children's Hospital. Restaurants are a stone's throw away. Plan to return next time I am in Chicago.
Tuscan Suite was just wonderful! It was huge, warm, cozy with unique & wonderful bath. Bed was unbelievably comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful & kind. Kitchen was a lot of fun making something to eat or drink anytime!
Staying at the villa feels like home to me and has been wonderful staying here. When visiting Chicago, this will always be my first choice. The service is amazing and the people are too
The VIlla is such a pleasant place to stay after working all day. I've come to know the staff well and I look forward to coming back any time I'm in Chicago
Now that I have found this wonderful place in the heart of Lincoln Park in Chicago, I will never stay anywhere else when in Chicago. It is my home away from home.
We stayed in the Grand Tuscan Suite! It was better than the pictures! Loved every minute of it. The overall cleanliness was outstanding. However, all the other rooms were occupied during our stay so we couldn't look at the other rooms or make use of the downstairs common-area. Also it got a bit noisey for our liking with people walking up and down the stairs and cooking breakfast at 6:00am when we wanted to sleep in. But overall, it was a breathtaking place and very elegant! Very beautiful!
This place was amazing!!! It was beautiful, clean and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We stayed for our honeymoon and will be back for every anniversary
Staying here was so fun and memorable! We loved being able to make our own food. It felt like we were residents of Chicago. Definitely we'll be staying here again!
Immediately impressed with the location adn the beauty of the inn. The proprietor, Ralph, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. First class and highly recommended!
Spent five nights at the lovely Villa D'Citta in October with four friends. We practically took over the place and it thoroughly lived up to our expectations of elegance and charm. Very nice to be able to snack all night in the nicely stocked kitchen and have friends over for wine and cheese in the courtyard. A few plumbing issues were about all that marred our wonderful stay. Especially loved the gas fireplaces on those chilly, rainy Chicago nights.
WILL NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE AGAIN IN CHICAGO!! I love this place, truely!! Pictures nor words can describle the elegance, beauty and overall coziness of the rooms and living space. The beds so comfortable and a room with a fire place is must (so relaxing)!! Customer service is top notch, and Ralph is extremely accomodating and made all my travel plans/visit easy. They have a well stocked kitchen with excellent selection of breakfast food and snacks that is available 24 hours a day! It is located in Lincoln Park in a trendy safe neighborhood great for shopping/food, and only a $10 cab ride to downtown Chicago Navy Peir.
My family and I stayed at the Villa for a weekend to plan my daughters wedding. I have never been so impressed as I was with the Villa, Ralph and Martha....they are just wonderful and always willing to help. The building is just gorgeous and decorated perfectly. Clean comfortable and a gormet kitchen fully stocked!! Close to restaurants, shopping and a beautiful neighborhood for strolling the streets. Perfect place for a romantic get away or a family vacation....Better than I could even imagine!
Thanks Ralph and Martha for making our stay a memorable experience!
I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Chicago and a stay at Villa D' Citta, not really knowing what we were getting into, but I would have to say it was probably the most fun I've ever had on a trip to Chicago! The Villa was beautiful, and very clean, and the staff, especially Ralph was very nice, and welcoming. I woulbr definitely stay there many more times in the future. It's the only place to be in Chicago not mention very close to shopping, bars, and all sites we wanted to check out on that stay. My boyfriend enjoyed our trip so much when we arrived back home in Michigan, he proposed!! We're actually getting married this weekend!!! Thanks for everything Ralph! Jamie
I wanted to take my boyfriend on a romantic getaway for his birthday. Villa D' Cita could not have been a more perfect place to take him. I loved the pictures online but was skeptical that it wouldn't live up to my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was even better than I had expected. The location was great. Lots of shops and places to eat and drink in the neighborhood, but close enough to downtown. The room was awesome. Very clean and updated. The common areas like the kitchen, patio, TV area and basement were all so beautiful. The hot tub was so nice and the patio area is remarkably quiet and peaceful. We kept commenting all weekend how the villa was a thousand times better than any expensive hotel downtown. Ralph was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Extremely luxurious and impressive. We will definitely be going back to visit again and again!!!
Wow- we just ended our long weekend at Villa d'Citta. It was fabulous, I don't think that there is a single thing that they can improve on. Well stocked kitchen, hot tub, parking, etc. We were pleasantly surprised at the setting, as we didn't expect there to be so many restaurants and stores within walking distance. This was our first trip to Chicago and won't be our last. This house is just amazing! This house is just beautifully decorated with an exceptional attention to detail. This house would be a perfect place for a group of people to get together for a "staycation". We really didn't want to leave.
Not everyone can afford to travel abroad for a babymoon. In fact, I thought I wouldn't be able to take my wife anywhere before our first baby was born. A teacher's salary usually doesn't offer many options. Rather than settling for nothing, I research for a bed and breakfast in the Chicago area. Villa D' Citta appeared to be out of my price range, but Ralph (vice-president) made it possible. Our stay in the Milan room was exactly what we needed. The room had plenty of space to make it feel so open. We had privacy, but service whenever we needed. Ralph and Martha made themselves available and made sure that we had a relaxing experience. The kitchen always had plenty of food including those that my wife would need to keep up with her pregnancy diet. Gentlemen, no worries. I ate to my heart's content too. :) The location provided the perfect distance for us to walk for exercise and visit places such as the Lincoln Park Zoo as well as to browse some boutiques. We had satellite television any time we needed with a warm fire place to complete our evenings. Villa D' Citta took us away from our hectic schedules, even for a moment, and we will definitely remember the time we had together there. Thanks Ralph and Martha! We're so thankful for you guys!
I want to personally commend Ralph and Martha for their gracious hospitality during my mother and I’s visit. Mom and I definitely needed a break where we could get away and forget about the recent loss of her mother (my precious grandmother). We were truly BLESSED to find this BB on this website. The home is luxurious and the host & staff were amazing. Mom and I took advantage of the outdoor hot tube on the cool spring night per Ralph’s recommendation and it was just what we needed to relax. Not to mention staying up talking all night in our ultra comfortable beds with the warmth and glow from the lit fireplace in our room. Martha’s steal cut oatmeal, hot blueberry muffins, and to die for hash browns made waking up feel like you were at home with loved ones. But the daylight brought more excitement because the Villa D’Citta is situated in walking distance to boutiques, eateries, and STARBUCKS (I am a Starbuck addict) which allowed us not to have to move our car from the FREE parking on the street. As I told Ralph on my way out…Mom and I will be back every year…so keep the light on for us!
Ralph was a very accommodating and gracious host. from the moment i walked in i was amazed, the villa was stunning and immaculate. I felt welcomed and at home as soon as i walked in the doors. even while having trouble with his broken foot, Ralph was kind enough to help me get my luggage to my room. i was also asked if i needed any dinner suggestions and he told me all about local entertainment and the best places to eat. i got the chance to meet the house keeper as well, and what a sweetheart! my room led directly onto the balcony that has lounge chairs and the jacuzzi on it. amazing even in winter. i stayed at 3 hotels in Chicago and none of them even began to come close to what the villa offers. over all, outstanding!! this is the place to be!
We loved our stay at the Villa! Our room was immacute and yet very comfy. We would stay there again. Ralph, the inn keeper, was hospitable and the staff provided everything we could possible need for our family. We would recommend this b and b to a single traveler or a busy family. Thanks again Villa D'Citta!
this place was fantastic - the kitchen was really well stocked. made all the difference to come back after bar time and get a real meal rather than a vending machine product. people were great, room was beautiful.
My wife and i stayed here on the night of our engagement and i have to say we were both surprised and impressed. A few rooms and we had what seemed like a whole floor with the finest accomodations imaginable. Ralph was extremely friendly. The furnishings in the rooms are beyond description. We liked how it was out of the way and it seemed like we had the place to ourselves. A five star rating in all categories, the best hotel either of us had ever been to. We got a great deal too. while it was the best, it was far from the most expensive.
Excellent option to stay in Lincoln Park. Excellent location. Very comfortable. Food was provided to prepare yourself which worked out very well for us. Ralph is a gracious host. We very much enjoyed our stay.
I stayed there the first weekend of December. Wonderful atmosphere. Our room was very inviting - spacious and had a fireplace, which we used a lot since it was a cold and snowy weekend. Decent location as far as things to do nearby. It's a mix between a Bed & Breakfast and a boutique hotel. If you like unique and classy, Villa D' Citta is worth your time.
We recently stayed at the Villa for 2 nights. Our kids gave us a stay for our birthdays. First of all, Ralph was so kind to us and went out of his way to make us feel welcomed! My son was impressed with Ralph at the time that he bought the gift certificate and told us how accommodating he is. He was right! We love B & B's and have stayed in many, but this one beat them all. Walking in the front door, you can feel the Tuscan atmosphere and this residence is immaculately cared for. We stayed in the Milan Suite. It was very spacious and the bed SO comfortable. The extra bed turned into a nice reading nook for us. The windows to the street and fireplace, beautiful bathroom and gorgeous decor all contributed to a very lovely weekend. We enjoyed our breakfast and the stocked frig and opened kitchen - what else can we say? We will be back as soon as we can, and highly recommend this "five star" B & B enough! Thanks again Ralph, you made our trip special, well done!
The place is stunning and the area offers a lot to do. The innkeeper I spoke with was very kind! My husband and I really appreciated the upgrade in room due to the availability. This allowed more privacy for all the guests. The only slight issue was the housekeeper, who was very nice, however starting cleaning up way before the 11am check out. We look forward to staying here again! I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
This place is fabulous! Ralph was kind enough to phone me up when I was late to check in....and lost on the highway. My room was gorgeous....a view of the rooftop patio and hot tub. This is a great location...close to many restaurants, coffee houses and shops. Comfortable, clean and inviting! Thanks for a fabulous visit!
The Villa is truely a home away from home. I'm already looking for an excuse to go back. All of the personal touches made it VERY special! Thanks Ralph!!!!!
My friend and I had a "girl's weekend" while our husbands were on a golf weekend. It was my first time in Chicago and I'm so glad we stayed at Villa D'Citta. Ralph the Innkeeper was wonderful and always extremely helpful. The room we had, the Florencia, was huge, bright and fabulous. It happened to be parents weekend at DePaul the weekend we stayed at the Villa and we met the nicest people. Quite a few of the parents were return visitors, or as Ralph says, the family is home. Martha works at the Villa and is sweet and very accommodating. I highly recommend the Villa for a girl's weekend or to share with someone special. Either way, it'll be a great experience!
Kathy from NJ
Our third stay at Villa D'Citta was just as great as our first two stays. Gorgeous, restored mansion with comfortable beds and a bathroom suitable for the Playboy Mansion. Wonderful breakfast with snacks whenever we needed them 24 hours a day! But, what really separates the Villa from anywhere else you'll stay is Ralph and Martha. We really do feel like we are family...I just scheduled my 4th stay (all within the last 12 months) and I can't wait to come back! You will NEVER feel more welcome than when Ralph greets you! He is a wonderful person and Martha is an impeccable housekeeper! Thanks to both of you! Best wishes, David, Amy & Jackie
My husband and I stayed at Villa D'Citta for our 10 year anniversary and absolutely loved it. Every detail, from the decor, to the friendly staff were well above our expectations. Ralph definitely makes the place above and beyond. From recommending pizza places, to making us feel right at home while laughing and joking with us as if we were old friends. The location was excellent and we were able to walk many different shops and restaurants, and all the amenities, both indoor and out, were fabulous. We will definitely visit Chicago again, and would never consider staying anywhere else but Villa D'Citta.
Villa D' Citta is so beautifully appointed and so graciously staffed--it transcends "B & B." Every aspect of this gorgeous place has been painstakingly and elegantly designed, with beautiful hardwood floors (no squeaks!), wonderful woodwork and touches of leaded glass windows--not a hint of chintz to be seen. Our room and bathroom were luxurious, spacious, and immaculate, and the bed was really comfortable. No need to ask for extra towels or pillows are they are generously stocked, as was the refrigerator (with everything imaginable for a fabulous breakfast or snack). You will not find a more gracious and accommodating host than Ralph Rousseau. Villa D' Citta is a bit of Italian elegance conveniently located in Lincoln Park, just a couple of blocks from DePaul University and the train. Treat yourself and stay here the next time you're in Chicago!
The Villa is breathtaking! The suites are luxurious and the service is even better. We cannot wait to return. We were treated like family and will not stay anywhere else in the area. Thanks for making our getaway weekend so perfect!
"There is no place like home!!!", except the Villa... :) Imagine a girl, flying from Lisbon, Portugal to Chicago, USA… traveling all alone with a big, big case… Rain, technical problems in the plain, hours waiting… And when I finally arrive at my destination, I face the Villa… All I could think was “Uau! I’ll be living here for two weeks!” I felt like home right away… Nest morning, geat breakfast (still miss that wonderful peanut butter!), wonderful living room, and lovely people to chat a little (or a lot!)… The neighborhood is great too! Nice stores, good places to eat… It almost seemed I was on vacation though I had to get up early to work… When after the first week my husband arrived, he was overwhelmed too… The whole house is absolutely amazing! The bad part of our stay was leaving… after two great weeks in the marvelous Windy City, it really cost us to take the cab back to O’Hare… But, guess what, Ralph… next December we will be back! And we know the Villa will be waiting for us, covered in snow (so we hope!!!)…
We were very pleased with our accomodations at Villa D'Citta this past weekend. It is not only beautiful to look at but very comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely be staying there whenever we are visiting this great city.
I stayed at this villa for three nights and it exceeded my expectations! We stayed in the euro room and were delighted with all the amenities. We definately spent quality time on the roof top deck, sunning ourselves and sipping on some drinks. We also loved the kitchen!! We made omlettes and bacon every morning! We will be back!!
the definition of outstanding is: marked by superiority or distinction; excellent; distinguished.
simply put, that is what you will experience while staying at villa d' citta.
Five of us shared the Florencia and Milan suites for a "girls' weekend away". Everything is clean and beautiful, Ralph is a great host, everything is convenient in the kitchen, and almost every room as a fireplace! We were within walking distance of boutique shopping like Lulu Lemon, Bebe, awesome unique shops, and the blues club Kingston Miles. Blue Man Group was a 3 minute cab ride north, and the Magnificent Mile was just a 10 minute ride south. Excellent location! I've rated the "rooms" only a 4 out of 5 because there was only one closet (and no dressers) for 3 of us to share in our room. The two other closets may have been stocked with maid supplies, as they were locked. I've also rated "dining" only a 3 out of 5 because I was disappointed that the only meats in the "fully stocked kitchen" were pork (which I don't eat for religious reasons), and I had expected there to be more snack food like pastries. However, the options available for breakfast were certainly sufficient and cooking my own food was wonderful. Towels in the bathrooms were soft and fluffy. Also, the beds have duvets with crisp clean duvet covers rather than sheets and blankets like regular hotels. Not only will I choose to stay here every time I visit Chicago, but it is one of the very reasons I will visit Chicago again!
I travel to Chicago 3-4 times a year for business. Last year in December I stayed at the Villa D'Citta and it was amazing. Im planing my next trip and Im staying at the Villa again. I love how you make your own breakfast in the morning (brilliant idea). I felt like I was at home!
This was my second stay at the villa and it was even better than the first time which was incredible.the service is beyond compare, the food was terrific, and my suite was beyond my expectations. i love the area that its in. there is everything anyone could want in walking distance, food, shopping, theater. i will recomend the villa to everyone and i will only stay there when im in chicago
I came to Chicago for a business trip and never wanted to leave! I usually just hop on priceline and book a cheap room for these short trips, but this time my company insisted on my stay at Villa D' Citta Boutique Mansion. Wow! Im so glad they did, This place is amazing! Every inch is absolutely top of the line and kept spotless. Also the staff was very accommodating and seamed eager to make my stay a wonderful one. I had so much fun at the Villa D' Citta that I have already booked a surprise vacation for my wife and I to come back this summer. So if you are planning to visit "The Windy City" you should definetly treat yourself to a stay at Villa D' Citta Boutique Mansion-Chicago's Luxury Guest House
My wife and I usually do the Mile on our trips to Chicago, but due to this being an unexpected visit it worked out for us to try a B&B. Based on our experience B&B's will definitely be in our future plans.
The biggest draw back for this type of lodging was the planned meals where you would have to sit down with strangers and make small talk. At Villa D' Citta this is not the standard as breakfast is whenever u make it. Everything is provided from cookware to food items, but u cook it yourself....and no clean-up.....perfect.
The location is close to the shops and restaraunts of Lincoln village and only a short cab ride to the mile and downtown. We actually walked to downtown and we would do it again.
The building itself is beautiful and the room(Milan) was much more than expected. Nice bed, bathroom and gas log fireplace for cooler nights and plenty of room.
Parking is on the street, and therefore could be a problem, but all in all it wasn't that big of a deal.
Overall the experience at Villa D' Citta was very nice, and we plan to go back in the future.
My husband and I came from St. Louis for a romantic getaway. The Villa D'Citta was the perfect place for this event! Everything was amazing, from the jacuzzi to the extremely friendly staff. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away to Chicago with their significant other. We can't wait to go back!
This establishment is absolutely FABULOUS!!!! We have been married for 29 years and have been around the world! By far, Villa D Citta of Chicago is the best place that we have ever stayed! We were treated like royalty and our accomodations were the most comfortable. Equipped with down covered bedding, silk upholstery and drapes and exquisite artwork, the furnishings are fit for a king and queen! King and Queen is absoultely how we were made to feel! Whenever we are in Chicago, we intend to always make Villa D' Citta our home away from home. Ralph is like a brother and one of our family now that we have had the opportunity to meet him! Come and stay or you will be dissappointed with anywhere else you go! Oh, and before I forget, imagine sitting in a hot tub jacuzzi, in 30 degree weather with steam rising up from 104 degree water, Simply AMAZING!!!!! This was like a HOT SPRINGS RETREAT and SPA experience!

My stay at the Villa D' Citta was great; I was visiting DePaul University and the distance to and from Villa D' Citta was super proximal (about a 5 minute walk). I was there on interviews and the service here was great; especially with relaxing activities such as the wonderful bath/jacuzzi and large screen TV. The room was huge and very clean. If I ever need to book a hotel in the area, Villa D' Citta will definitely be my first choice.
The owners are really great and friendly, will help you with anything you need, they make you feel like family. The bed and breakfast is incredibly elegant, fancy yet cozy at the same time and extremely clean. It is located in an amazing location, right in Lincoln Park so almost 10 minutes from anything you want to do (Wicker Park, Downtown, etc.). The Jacuzzi is an added plus as well.
We love to visit our son in Lincoln Park but do not always prefer the couch. When we took our friends to Chicago to see a Cubs game, we planned the usual downtown hotel arrangement with a train ride to Wrigley Field and Lincoln Park. We have tried staying in Lincoln Park before, but the only places we have found left much to be desired. At the last minute, I checked B&Bs online only to find a new one--Villa d'Citta. What a find!!! It couldn't have been nicer from the people to the accommodations. We especially liked the well-stocked refrigerator in the beautfiully designed kitchen. The rates were reasonable and the best part was that our son's apartment is just blocks away. We are looking forward to another stay as soon as possible.
My daughter and I stayed at the villa while we were shopping for an apartment for her. It was a very memorable experience. The surroundings were very elegant and extremely clean. The people were very friendly as if we had been friends for life. I love this place. Don't even think about staying in a chain hotel when you have this available to choose from. The area is awesome and very safe. You always see families with strollers walking down the street. I felt as if I was home. I will definitely stay when I return. P.S. We loved the area so much, my daughter now lives two houses down from the villa. Sincerely, Joan and Mary Pettigrew
My husband and I were delighted with our stay at Villa D' Citta. The inn's photos did not do it justice. All of the renovations were of the highest quality and made exploring each area of the inn fun. We enjoyed getting up early and fixing ourselves a fresh omelet and fruit. We ate breakfast while relaxing by the fireplace deciding our plans for the day. The kitchen is well stocked and equipped with gourmet appliances. We look forward to enjoying more nights at the inn while visiting our son and daughter-in law. Enjoy ~ Robin Lease
this place was very nice an all the ppl there were friendly came to chicago for a music event an found a place hving it own new years event what more could you ask for i would recommend it to anybody an will be returning frequently thanks ralph

My Husband and I were given the gift of a night at Villa D' Druse, now Villa D' Citta by my employees. It was spectacularly clean, and quiet. Ralph was very nice and accommodating to us, and we loved his puppy Whiskey.
The room was gorgeous. We stayed in the Florencia Suite. It has a fantastic view over the Gratto, as well as a toasty fire place. We would recommend it to anyone who was interested in an overnight in chicago.
The only complaint we have is that the temperature of the room was cold, but ralph was able to fix that once we brought it to his attention. We also ended up not dining at the Villa at all, as there were a few specific restaurants we wanted to hit up in town.
We would also loved to have simply had more time to relax, and enjoy the fireplace and jacuzzi, but Chicago just has so much to see and do. We will definitely be staying again if we are able to.
Kelly
This is by far the best kept secret in Chicago. Close to everything you want or need. The Staff are very pleasurable to be around and friendly. They would go out of their way to make sure you were taken care of. Rooms are excellent with a Hot Tub & the patio area was awesome. We are from Ottawa, Il. & had a great time with all of you there. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for everything you did to make my Wife and I feel right at home.
Villa d'Citta was a pleasant surprise in Lincoln Park area of Chicago. The Chicago brownstone has been carefully and tastefully renovated with great furnishings and outdoor spaces although I could not take advantage of the outdoors due to the December weather. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and literally satisfied all of my questions and requests. I plan to return in the summer when we are visiting friends in Lincoln Park. Linda Murphy-Knoll
We are from Michigan. I took my wife for her birthday. 70 deserves something special and we received it. Ralph "reserved" a park space at the front door. So convenient. I love to cook and I travel a lot for business so I am "restauranted out". The kitchen area is better equipped than most high end homes. I cooked a very enjoyable meal for Ralph, my wife Pat, and me. The best part is I did not have to clean up. It truly dosen't get any better. It will be our getaway from now on. Call me if you want to 248 760 9342.

My wife and I were first dazzled by the appointments in each room and then by the friendliness of Don Druse and his staff. We were allowed to proceed thru the day at our leisure and not have to conform to any schedule. The location couldn't be better.
The Villa D'Citta is absolutely beautiful and the staff works extremely hard to make your stay perfect. The location cannot be beat if you are looking for a true Chicago experience rather than a tourist trap. You can walk to everything or take a short cab ride. Ralph, the key man, instantly makes you feel like a good friend. We will be back many, many times to come.
My boyfriend and I stayed when the Villa just opened. We stayed in the Milan room - it was very luxurious and exceeded our expectations. The bathroom was amazing! The host/hostess made us feel very welcome and comfortable. It is a nice getaway from the hectic city life that we normally live. This is a not-to-miss oasis in the Windy City!
Dear Staff, thank you for a wonderful stay and making our "girls weekend get-away" FANTASTIC!!! The Villa is so beautiful, it was just like being at home. We are already planning for 2010!!

This delightful guest house was recommended to us by a local chicago resident. Our family (two children age 16 and 13) met my parents (70, 68) there. From the moment we walked in all of us were made to feel at home and taken care of. Ralph was a wonderful host, recommending restaurants and advising us on things to take advantage of in Chicago. The rooms are beyond hyperbole and I've stayed at the Peninsula in Chicago.
I visited chicago on buisness and i thought i would try a bed and breakfast versus my normal hotel stay. From the moment i checked in to the moment i checked out i was treated better than at any hotel that i have ever stayed in. There attention to every detail was above any expectation i had, from there care for my comfort to the fantastic service provided 24 hours a day. When i return to chicago i will only stay at the VILLA D' CITTA.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] I’m so glad that you enjoyed yourself at the villa if there is anything we can do to make your experience even better just shot us an email we’ll get right on it
I usually don’t write reviews but I had such a great experience at this place that I just had to. The warmth and friendliness of the staff for us was unreal! The House was gorgeous and you can see that so much went into the details. Is was so clean there, every part of the house had a different scent in the air that was candy to my nose. I stayed in the Malian, truly a great room if I had my way I would of stayed in my room the hole weekend… The innkeeper was so kind, funny and entertaining, this was my first time at a bed and breakfast and I will never go to a hotel ever again after this.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Hi guys I had a great time too thank you for coming hope to see you soon on your next trip to the city.
My husband and I are from Honolulu, and we stayed here this past summer after not being able to find a good deal on a hotel room. The staff was very helpful, giving us tips on using public transportation, where to eat and find good entertainment (e.g., recommended several nearby restaurants, printed directions after finding places on Google maps and told us about a show at the Theatre on the Lake). Location-wise, this place is perfect. Walking distance to my favorite breakfast spot, Nookies Too, and a great Indian Restaurant called Hema's Kitchen and within a block of the train station. We stayed in the smallest room on the top floor. It was nice and private with no frills - just what we we needed. The bathroom was shared, but immaculate and beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good deal, friendly service and would rather experience city charm in a great neighborhood, rather than staying in a generic hotel.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Hi guys, thank you so much that means a lot to us. Come back any time, and thanks so much for those treats, oh my goodness they were so good I didn’t share with anyone. ;)
Stayed here with friends for three nights and thought it was great. The Innkeeper, Don and his main man Ralph, were more than accomodating and they made our stay even more enjoyeable. We liked being able to gather in the large kitchen area
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] I had a blast too, you guys where great guest and thanks so much for coming I enjoyed my time with you all and hope to see you soon again. Tell Ed's wife we hope her leg feels better and hope all of you come out again to Chicago very soon.
We stayed in the Grand Tuscan room for 3 nights and felt at home the entire stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, our room was large, well equipped and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing and the small balcony was perfect to sit outside in the fresh air and people watch. Excellent location.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Hi guys just wanted to say thank you for coming to The Villa it was my pleasure. I’m so glad you all enjoyed our Grand Tuscan it sure is a real treat. I remembered your wife’s response when she first walked thought those double doors screaming with happiness and joy. That made me feel so good inside, hope you guys come again soon.
There is just something about that place that just makes you feel good, the service the rooms and the love, and my wife and I definitely will not forget Ralph he is just the best host and entertainer anyone can ask for I would go back just for him.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Oh you guys are too much, Thank you for that and thank you for coming, I hope your visit to Chicago was memorable even if it was rainy, sitting by the fireplace talking and trading stories with you and your son was great. We got to do that again soon and our doors are always open for your son being so far away from home in collage is hard sometimes. if he ever wants something to eat or just sit down in a safe place, he will always be welcomed here at the villa.
We loved the place! Weather in Chicago was horrible and our room was our haven (We are from FL) Everyone was great and we felt at home.
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] thank you guys, the weather here in Chicago is so unpredictable sometimes, but I’m glad that you guys had a good time here at your 2nd home in the villa. Hopefully next time the weather will be more accommodating, if not just remember you still have your little haven in the villa.
The Villa is amazing! Great, friendly staff. Awesome rooms - very comfy beds. Really classy, but we felt very much at home. Nick is a gracious host. Walk to the park, the zoo, the beach - take the el for longer excursions. Very relaxing!
[Resource Id: innkeeperresponse, Set: reviews] Thanks guys for the review it was a pleasure meeting nice people as yourselves, and hope to see you guys again soon.
From the moment we walked into the Villa D' Druse, we were amazed with the exquisite decor! Our bedroom was spacious and relaxing-our beds were so soft that we slept much longer than usual :) The restrooms were clean and roomy...showers were definitely top-of-the-line.
Physical comfort is obviously a priority at the Villa, and no one could have predicted how helpful and engaging the staff would be. After enjoying the rooms and well-stocked kitchen, we left feeling like we had gotten a fabulous taste of Chicago living!
We will be looking the Villa up again in the future :)
