Love it! My husband is now a BBeliever! The home is great , room was fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious. Felt a little Downton Abbey-charming! I think the snacks throughout the house- coffee, sweets, chocolate and adult beverages if asked- solidified the deal for my husband. Be sure to be back!

My boyfriend and I had a very nice stay at the Vrooman Mansion on our way back from the Illinois state fair. The building is in amazing condition, and was a pleasure to walk around and stay in, and the breakfast was tasty. As we were being lead to your room, the hostess did make a few odd comments about "being sorry" I was from New York, and about my lack of an "accent" but besides this our stay was very pleasant!

My wife and I enjoyed our brief stay at the Vrooman Mansion. We stopped on our way up to a weekend in Chicago from St Louis. The main house is beautiful, and our room in the carriage was very nice as well. Breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed chatting with other guests in the dining room. Definitely looking forward to visiting again.

Greeted us with a smile and immediately gave a tour of this historic mansion. Most of the decorum is from the period in which it was built. Very helpful with our luggage and stored our bicycles in a secure area. The breakfast was delicious and delivered at the specified time. Free wi-fi, soda, chips, cookies and I was able to watch the Cardinal baseball game on a large screen TV. My wife and I highly recommend it.

The building itself is a beautiful example of the intersection of opulence and that rustic plains farmhouse feel. The staff was wonderful and served a delicious breakfast of grilled peaches, french toast with an orange brulee, and an orange quiche with sausage and apricot coffee (regular as well). We sat on the window in the Carl Vrooman suite for quite a while at night with the large windows open just talking and taking in the country air and completely lost ourselves. It was overall an excellent stay, I would recommend it, and I plan to revisit again every time we visit friends and family in town!
