Staying with Jim and Ruth is like staying with friends. They go out of their way to make it a pleasant stay and engage in interesting conversation. Our room was very cozy and comfortable. BEAUTIFUL area!

What a great Inn! We own a B&B ourselves and we know what constitutes a good Inn.This Inn receives high marks. Ruth is not only a professional, but she is warm and charming. Our room was clean, decorated with beautiful choices, amenities were well chosen and of excellent quality. This is a perfect setting for some of the most beautiful countryside. Right across from the river and centrally located to sights. It is a restful place that makes for a relaxing environment. We found Ruth not only easy to be around but her food was delicious (great cook.) She reallly was extremely helpful with planning each day's outings as we not only wanted to rest but see the local sights if possible. We brought our own home prepared dinners and the Inn offered a lovely little kitchen to heat up our meals. We drove off feeling that all of our desires were satisfied...

We stayed one night on our way from Glacier to Oregon and what a lovely surprise this charming place was. Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable bed, inviting outside sitting area on the hill and an amazing breakfast. We would absolutely stay again if in the area but would like to stay longer!

We had an absolutely lovely but short stay at Reflections and received the best of care an attention. Should we ever be in the area again, I would certainly stay at Reflections.

We've stayed at the Reflections Inn many times and especially like the peaceful environment and warm hospitality of both Ruth and Jim Mays. We also enjoy the conversations we have with the other guests from many different places. Ruth is an exceptional cook so the breakfasts are always delicious and presented in an appealing manner. The rooms are comfortable and artfully decorated so one feels at home when you step inside. Having the Idaho back country nearby is an asset as we enjoy taking our 4 x 4 and exploring the back roads. A friend and I recently stayed at the Reflections Inn on our way to meet our kids for a rafting trip. We found Ruth and Jim to be most friendly and helpful, in every way. Their clean, private inn is beautifully maintained with a zen-like outdoor patio area and hot tub. The breakfast was second to none. We found the room to be homey, clean and really appreciated the hospitality which was provided. Do not miss the opportunity to stay here if you're in this part of the country!

A beautiful setting away from the road, a comfortable room that had obviously been modernized, wonderful hosts, a delicious breakfast. Plenty of reading material to relax with. Would stay there again if in the area.

Our first visit to Idaho and already we want to go back! Ruth & Jim were excellent hosts and very welcoming. The location was beautiful and right on the river. Enjoyed every part of our visit, only problem was it was too short. Would definetly recommend a stop here.

- very kind hosts, nice little talks about the area and more - shared interes in Lewis & Clark - guest kitchen with laundry machine and dryer well appreciated - splendid breakfast - WiFi in guest rooms not available, no cell phone connection (which might help relaxing...) - we can fully reccomend staying at Reflections Inn, maybe best even to book it for a couple of days... What a wonderful B&B. The owners are warm and engaging. The atmosphere is beyond tranquil and oh-so-beautiful. We were brought robes to use for visiting the hot tub, had a fridge stocked with water in the room for no charge, had full kitchen area access in a common area downstairs and allowed (encouraged!) to drop in a few hours early to off load our things and check into our room and enjoyed a very tasty breakfast, catered to our preferences. This place is a gem! My husband and I wanted somewhere quiet to celebrate our anniversary but look forward to coming back soon for no particular reason at all!

Our recent 2 nights at Reflections Inn was very pleasant and relaxing, as promised. In Ruth's absence, Jim was a great host. This is a place to get away from busy daily life, so having no TV or phones in our rooms was fine. There is good free hi-speed wifi throughout, a plethora of books (fiction and many subjects pertinent to the area) and DVDs to watch in the main lodge. Our very comfy bed was upstairs in a separate lodging building (not a problem for us, but some people might be challenged navigating all the property, which is on a hill). The various rooms are each uniquely decorated attractively (mostly rustic) with good craftmanship throughout. Since Ruth was gone, Jim forewarned us there would be no dinners at RI. (Some of the rooms are equipped with nice kitchenettes.) This was probably the main drawback, as it was around 45 minutes to the best dining in Kamiah (but the drive is lovely). The Hearthstone Bakery has a good lunch and dessert menu, and serves an excellent special dinner (over the weekend only). Jim also recommended Palenque in Kamiah, and the Mexican food was very good. Favorite memories: enjoying the outdoor hot tub and the amazing view of the night sky, hiking up the hill behind the inn (the trail was good, but Jim's walking sticks helped with the climb), and sitting (on lawn chairs specially provided by RI) IN the lazy (in August), warm Clearwater River, enjoying our lunch as a few kayakers paddled by and a flock of Canadian geese peacefully swam nearby. We were pleased to have found the Reflections Inn, and would gladly make a repeat visit.

We came for 3 days of R&R. We started each day with a delicious "May" breakfast. Then we read or hiked to the top for the fabulous viewor rested down in the river and waited for the sunset. This was our second stay and we will return for more of Ruth and Jim's attention and care.

A friend recommended Reflections Inn - but was unclear as to exactly why - all he could say was that 'it felt like staying at a good friend's house'. He was exactly right! Ruth and Jim are the perfect hosts, entertaining, warm and welcoming. We highly, highly recommend!

The hospitality we received from the owners, Jim & Ruth was beyond stupendous! Between the comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfasts and breathtaking views I haven't been to a more fabulous place to stay in my 50+ years. They made us feel so welcome we truly hated the thought of leaving. Everyone should experience the Reflections Inn - you won't be sorry.

This was our fist time at a B&B so we didn't know what to expect. It was better than a hotel. Peaceful and serene nestled in the woods. Jim went out of his way to accommodate us! The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends!

We swept in with 5 MINIs on our way to a Colorado event and had a wonderful time! Ruth and Reggie went out of their way to make it a great stay even though we were only there one night. They helped us with an enjoyable BBQ and birthday celebration and then followed it with a great breakfast before we left for points east the next day. It truly was one of the highlights of the trip and we hated to leave! Definitely a place to come back to again and again for pure relaxation. You will leave feeling like a very pampered house guest! My husband and I were taking a short "see Idaho" trip and I found Reflections on the internet before we left. I called when we got to Moscow and was able to get a room for the night. The drive to the inn is absolutely beautiful and it continued right up the long driveway to the B&B. What a relaxing setting to stay at when your away from home. The views were beautiful of the river and their surrounding hills, pastures and woods. If you need a place to relax and recharge, this is the place. Our room was spacious, well done and best of all....spotlessly clean. We enjoyed visiting with Ruth and found out she is a very good breakfast maker.LOL She made our stay very comfortable, only negative thing....time went to fast! We are hoping to be able to go back and enjoy their hospitality again. Stop and stay--you'll be very glad you did!

A fantastic bed and breakfast in a beautiful part of the country. We were so pleasantly surprised at what we found here. What a find! I spent four glorious days at the inn in June 2010. My days were spent exploring and photographing the glorious beauty surrounding the area. I booked the suite which has a full kitchen and living room. I could have comfortably stayed for weeks. The accommodations are very modern and comfortable. The food is fantastic and the hostess/owner couldn't possibly do more for her guests. The hospitality was outstanding. It's a wonderful place to get away from it all and I can't wait to return. One morning as I sat on my patio just outside my room I witnessed about a dozen wild turkeys come slowly gobbling down the hill towards me. I immediately started taking photos because I hadn’t seen turkeys in the wild before. Turns out there is a lot of wild life to see in the area. I would recommend this inn to anyone wanting to get away from the fast pace of life but still have luxury and great service. This will become at least a yearly getaway for me, more often if I can.

We recently happened on the Reflections Inn on our way home from a camping trip in Montana. What a wonderful find! We were greeted with a cold glass of lemonade which we drank on the lovely patio that had a nice view of the Clearwater River. That evening we enjoyed that same view from the hot tub. Our room was truly luxurious--especially after camping! Ruth served a delicious breakfast before sending us on our way. We will defintely recommend this place to our friends!

My wife and I stayed here one night during a recent motorcycle trip through several states. The rooms were spotless, well furnished, very comfortable, and quiet. The owner, Ruth, is a sweetheart and was a pleasure to visit with during our stay. She went out of her way to be helpful and to ensure that our stay was memorable. Don't miss an opportunity to stay at this wonderful B&B.

Nothing can be as beautiful as the stars overhead in the Idaho mountains while you're sitting in a hot tub in the forest! Wow. Add that to great hosts, an amazing clear river flowing quickly by, hikes out the back door, and plenty to do in the area - it's a little bit of heaven. So get off the beaten track and go to Kooskia (pronounced Koos-ki by the natives).

Ruth and Jim May are making an outstanding contribution to society just by being themselves and treating the public to their inviting establishment. We stayed for 3 days and would gladly have stayed longer if our schedules permitted. They are gracious hosts and provide a beautiful setting and ambiance for a relaxing getaway. The breakfasts are superb, the rooms filled with every convenience necessary as well as a guest service room that is well stocked with kitchen items, stove, microwave, dishes, fridge, etc. as well as complimentary ice tea, popcorn, and lemonade. You have lots of privacy or can get involved with the owners and other guests. They have hiking on the property that goes for miles and miles and, of course, the river is right there to behold and dip into. We have been to many B & B's and found the Reflections Inn to be outstanding in it's field.

I couldn't have found a better place. Ruth and Jim have thought of everything -- chairs set up by the river, a well-stocked separate kitchen for preparing your own dinners, outdoor hot tub in a lovely setting, a trail behind the house for the more adventurous, patios with furniture and flowers, books, DVDs, games, and even extra reading glasses. Not to mention two very friendly, gracious hosts who go out of their way to be helpful. For me, this place had it all -- serenity and hospitality.

Montana has a small village named ‘Paradise’. If the state of Idaho needs an idyllic ‘paradise’ it would clearly be located at Reflections Inn. Innkeeper hostess Ruth May has a passion for people and it clearly shows in all that she does for her guests from her warm greeting to her great breakfasts. Our room, #6, had a large and comfortable king-sized bed, a large lounge chair, a writing table, and a great stock of books. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, and there was a separate dressing area in this very large room. Ruth was very knowledgeable and helpful in giving us sage guidance and suggestions on what to do in the area. We used our BedandBreakfast.com gift cards on our visit and there was no problem with the processing of these cards at Reflections Inn. A great overall B&B experience!
