The location is 17 miles from the main town of Kaunakakai and about 10 miles from the airport.
The Maunaloa town where the B&B is located is charming but nothing going on there other than a general store, a post office and a kite store (must see). Plan your day because there's no restaurant in town.
The B&B is a 3 level building. The main rooms are in the second level. The Innkeepers live on the top level. The room is clean with basic necessities as shown in the picture. The room doesn't have a window. It has a small lanai but is covered with some sort of screen so you can't see anything outside. The B&B doesn't offer outdoor space to relax and admire the spectacular view. You can go to the huge lanai in front but it doesn't have outdoor furniture. Since people live upstairs, you'll hear footsteps once in a while.
Breakfast is good and Jim and Sue are accommodating.
A good option for budget conscious travelers who want to get away from it all. If you are looking for basic lodging and doesn't require amenities, this may be for you.
