My family and myself stayed at this wonderful Bed/Breakfast in Maunaloa, The innkeepers, Jim and Sue were so cordial! They made us feel so welcome and comfortable. It is a plain and simple lifestyle B/B,no amenities really, but that didn't matter to us at all. Our rooms were nice and clean, with our own private bathroom, comfortable and clean beds to sleep on. Sue does a fantastic breakfast and read to us from a book she wrote while we ate. Jim was there to help serve us our coffee and breakfast while we were seated at the table. We also met their sweet daughter that greeted us when we first arrived, If ever I return to Molokai again, I would surely go back and stay at this plain and simple lifestyle B/B! All the best to you, Jim and Sue... you both made it pleasant for us! Aloha, from the Big Island!

The location is 17 miles from the main town of Kaunakakai and about 10 miles from the airport. The Maunaloa town where the B&B is located is charming but nothing going on there other than a general store, a post office and a kite store (must see). Plan your day because there's no restaurant in town. The B&B is a 3 level building. The main rooms are in the second level. The Innkeepers live on the top level. The room is clean with basic necessities as shown in the picture. The room doesn't have a window. It has a small lanai but is covered with some sort of screen so you can't see anything outside. The B&B doesn't offer outdoor space to relax and admire the spectacular view. You can go to the huge lanai in front but it doesn't have outdoor furniture. Since people live upstairs, you'll hear footsteps once in a while. Breakfast is good and Jim and Sue are accommodating. A good option for budget conscious travelers who want to get away from it all. If you are looking for basic lodging and doesn't require amenities, this may be for you.
