"We spent 4 nights/3.5 days at Casa de San Pedro (7-4-12 to 7-8-12) and we enjoyed every bite and every minute of our stay. It's not just that Patrick and Karl are the best in the business (and we say that sincerely), they are also very knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna, birding spots, guides, and well -- you name it. We were there to bird, and bird we did! Their property and the adjacent San Pedro river are excellent birding areas. The B&B is also a great home-base for venturing out into the nearby (15 min. to 2 hours) canyons and preserves which are among the premier birding locations in the country. We typically bird the Texas Gulf Coast and can see hundreds of species of birds per year. In the 3 days we birded out of the Cas de San Pedro, we added 45 life birds to our list - including a once-in-a-lifetime adult and chick Spotted owl (Mexican var. and thanks to Sheri Williamson from the SABO)!
