"We stayed at the Culbertson House in Jefferson, Texas during the Mardi Gras Celebration last weekend and had a wonderful time. We we greeted by the family and were given a fantastic tour of this beautiful home which is filled with antiques from the period. The guest rooms are all different and very tastefully decorated with antique furniture and were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The house was open to all guest to be enjoyed at our leisure with common areas to enjoy free coffee, We stayed in the Primrose Room that had a very comfortable bed and had everything needed including shampoo and conditioner in the rooms private bathroom. The grounds in February are still showing the winter dullness but it's obvious that it's a beautiful and well kept gardens with a old fountain and sitting areas. Besides being one of the most beautiful B&B's the guest at the Culbertson House are treated like family or good friends. The town is very peaceful and has great restaurants and sight seeing opportunities. We especially enjoyed the Austin Street Bistro which has Chef quality meals and to die for deserts and excellent service. This is a five star Bed and Breakfast in a beautiful town so get ready to relax and hear the sounds of nature with the romantic sound of an occasional passing train. "
