For someone wanting to experience ols style b&bs on a budget this fits the bill. Close enough to walk everywhere in historic Savannah. Didnt have the glamour or antiques of others listed but this was reflected in the price. Staff were welcoming and helpful

First time to Savannah, went online and read all the great reviews, so we decided to book a room. The reviews were accurate. We enjoyed the coziness, everyone who worked there was great and so helpful. Parking was easy, breakfast was excellent and the view from our room was spectacular! We will definitely be coming back!

I stayed for a weekend with my mom. The only issue we really had was with the stairs. To get to the Camellia room, you must walk down a narrow metal staircase and then back up another. She has arthritis and vertigo so this was a small problem. If I saw those stairs, I would have picked another room. Also the first night I had no hot water and the hairdryer kept shutting off. The hardwood floor was sandy, we kept our socks on. The room showed two twin beds but we had a king. Staff claimed there were complaints about that and the pictures were old. They were friendly and food was good and cooked to order.

This is an excellent place to stay! We stayed in the Jackson Suite which had two bedrooms, a sitting area, full kitchen with washer & dryer and a private patio. The bath was small but had everything you need. Everything was as advertised. Great rate for a suite. Staff were very helpful. Will stay here again.

Books on the shelves in the bathroom and on the night stand beside the bed. The four poster was both beautiful and comfortable. The beautiful city parks and river were in walking distance. I will definitely return to this beautiful Inn.

The staff, from the concierge to the breakfast servers and chefs, went out of their way to be accommodating and helpful. The street side rooms are a bit noisy, which is to be expected in such an old structure, and the steps leading up to the rooms are steep and narrow. The overall experience was delightful, and we'd definitely choose this inn again.

One of the most beautiful and comfortable bed and breakfast places in all my years of traveling. A superb place full of history and atmosphere. A fabulous changing breakfast served everyday in a wonderful dining room. Staying here was like traveling back in time.

The staff was first-rate all around. I arrived early, before check-in, and the staff was nice enough to let me store my luggage at the Bed and Breakfast until check in. The gentleman who checked me in was incredibly polite and helpful, despite the fact that he was really busy at the time. He juggled all facets of his job seamlessly. The waitstaff were all super nice and the food was all cooked to order properly and done very well, including plate presentation. My room was kept extremely clean and was tip-top upon my arrival. Your staff is amazing and they all helped make my stay in Savannah a great one. Thank you all so much!

My husband and I were attending a wedding in Savannah and decided last minute to book a room, rather than stay with family, which didn't leave us many options. When we arrived at the Bed and Breakfast we were very pleased! The room was great and the staff was very helpful. We loved the home feeling. We have both agreed that we will definately be going back here when we can break away from the kiddos again!

We just stayed here last week and it was wonderful. The Inn was gorgeous, and very well kept. We had a a room on the third floor that had the most comfortable bed I have every slept on. It was very soft. The room was also very clean and beautifully decorated and even had books waiting in case you forgot to bring one of your own and needed something to read. The staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations for dinner. They also pointed out all the cats that the inn has outside to me because that is one of the things I was very interested in. The food over breakfast was just fancy enough with a nice comforting taste. Everything about our stay here was wonderful!

If your expectations are not very high and you want to be in the middle of the historic district within walking distance to most of the sights then this place will be just right. It is a bit rustic and quaint however the decor does need some updating and it could be cleaner in the common areas. The staff was polite and respectful I would not call them friendly. Overall it was a nice stay and it was a good value.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location was convenient for exploring Savannah by foot and bike. The room was clean and cozy, and the breakfast here is delicious! The first night we had shrimp and gritx and it is by far the best I've ever had!

My husband and I stayed in the Telfair room and were very impressed by how cozy and comfortable it was. We were a bit underwhelmed by the breakfast of 2 pancakes and 2 slices of bacon but I rounded mine out with yogurt. The morning staff was also a bit short, but there is a lot going on at that time so I can understand. Overall it is a lovely place to stay and we will be coming back.

We stayed at the Bed and Breakfast Inn for 2 nights during our trip through the South and we liked it very much. The Inn is really a beautiful house with nice dining room and porches and a lot of charme. We had the Tomochichi Room with our own porch and own entrance. The room was really beautiful and we felt very welcome. Like we were staying at Grandmas, just a much nicer room and service. Breakfast was just GORGEOUS! You could choose between 3 different meals in the evening for the next morning. The Chef really is an artist. We loved every bite of it and were always looking forward to it. Delicious! The staff was really nice. Only thing that was a bit unservice-like: We arrived early and the parking system is a bit tricky there. They give you money for your parking meter starting at arrival time (3 P.M.). The maximum you can pay is 2 hours in advance. We arrived at 1 and of course wanted to go to the city right away and use our time. So we asked the front desk and gave them textracoins to re-pay after two hours. They didn't want to do that, "too busy", although our car was right in front of the house. That was really a bit disturbing cause we had to come back to the Inn after two hours just to put in coins ... But anyway, I would always stay there again. Great location near to everything, great house and rooms, great people there.

We chose this charming inn because of it's location in the heart of historic Savannah and good value. The location is excellent because the historic area is very easy to walk (and you want to walk it as much as possible), but it's a 15 minute walk to the main shops/waterfront, so you are not so close to the main roads and shops which means it's also nice and quiet. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were supplied with a parking permit (for those staying 2+ nights) and ended up just leaving the car parked for most of the time. There is plenty of parking on the quiet streets around the inn. Just make sure to read the parking signs about street sweeping (no parking on one side of the street some nights when its being cleaned) or ask the inn if you're not sure. We were traveling as mother and son, so required two bedrooms. We stayed the first two nights in Azalea (a second floor two room suite), which was tastefully decorated and we found it to have everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The last two nights we moved to the Connor House (as Azalea was already booked) which is a 4 story house just a 1 minute walk across the square, with 3 bedrooms, full kitchen and parking (great for families or multiple couples). The ground floor unit I believe is rented separately from the rest of the house, with its own entrances. Breakfasts were excellent. The main menu changed daily (waffles, pancakes, chicken n waffles, shrimp and grips, etc), but if it's not to your tastes you can choose eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, etc if you prefer. You make your breakfast selection and the time you want to eat the night before, so they have it to you soon after you sit down on the patio. Overall a wonderful experience and I will stay here again when I come back to Savannah.

I read the reviews on many places and found that Savannah's Bed and Breakfast blue cottage room would work best for me. This room is 2 stories with bedroom up top and has a separate private entrance. That means coming and going as you please without entering the main house! This was awesome. I also brought 2 bicycles, which I highly recommend doing, and kept them in the courtyard right in front of the room. The breakfast was top notch and the service was great. I would gladly stay here again!

I had my expectations set pretty low for such a large accommodation at such a low price (we actually rented an entire townhome, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, kitchen, dining, etc), but when we checked in, I was wondering if they were going to secretly hit our card for twice the amount quoted. They didn't, and it was a delightful experience. Apart from a few quirky problems (a broken light switch plate, a broken ironing board) the overall experience was quite satisfactory. The Historic District is wonderful, and the Bed and Breakfast Inn puts you within walking distance of absolutely everything.

After looking through numerous Bed and Breakfasts in the Savannah area, me and my girlfriend decided on Savannah Bed and Breakfast Inn, since it met our budget and the reviews seemed great. We could not have been happier with our choice. We stayed in the Yellow Room, which was on the top floor of the main building. The room was great, very clean and cozy. We loved the treats they put out every single evening and night, and the breakfasts were delicious for each of our 3 mornings. The location is outstanding, within a walking distance of everything you need to see in Savannah (if only it wasn't so hot). We actually went to Charleston after our stay here in Savannah, and commented on how we missed the Savannah Bed and Breakfast Inn compared to our hotel. We look forward to coming back to Savannah, and when we do, we will be staying at the Savannah Bed and Breakfast Inn again!

Savannah B&B is one of our favorite places. We've been many times, and we always choose the Manager's Special. The rates are unbelievable, the staff is wonderful, and the breakfast is always delicious. The little suite we were in was precious, but I wouldn't recommend it for late sleepers. It was directly under the main entrance and was quite noisy early in the morning because breakfast is served in the main parlor.
4,0 sur août 22, 2014
The staff are friendly and unendingly helpful. The room was comfortable and well appointed even though it was small and the authenticity and charm of the B&B made up for the increased cost over a faceless hotel chain. The only problem we had was that the wireless internet was at times very slow and occasionally non-existent in the room, though in public areas it was fine.

My Mom and I stayed at this bnb at the end of May to the beginning of June and we loved it! We loved everything- the location, the Master Suite room, our private balcony, the courtyards, the kitties, the people. It was one of our favorite Mom-daughter getaways so far as we truly got a lot of r&r, all while touring beautiful historic Savannah! Also, we really loved the fact that we got to eat breakfast outdoors on the patio. We also absolutely loved the kitties company as I missed my 2 sweeties and they made me a little less home sick. Plus I was lucky enough to see the "white cat"! ;) Amazing stay!

We spent just one night at the Bed and Breakfast Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but not particularly special. The environment in general is a bit harried. As expected in a downtown area and an older building, street noise was easily heard. Perhaps due to the layout of the dining room (it was way too hot and muggy to eat outside), it is hard to find a quiet spot to relax. There was sufficient staff and lots of activity in the small room. Still, we had a good experience and the value of the room couldn't be beat.
2,2 sur août 15, 2014
Upon checking in we had to wait because there was only one person available to help us and they had to continuously answer the phone. The man was nice enough and apologized for the multiple interruptions. Our room was decent but it looked as though no one had stayed in it for quite some time. A strong flowery fragrance constantly was coming out of the vents. If we spent too much time in there it gave us a headache. The food for breakfast was good and the timing was decent, not too early and not too late to get a good day of touring in on the town. Over all for our first time it wasn't bad but I was really expecting a little more from the roomroom and staff. The one thing I really was but thrilled about was having to pay for a second parking pass. We arrived on our motorcycles and we park within the same spot but had to pay for the second pass. I had called ahead about this issue and was told it should be fine since it was only one spot. I didn't feel like strutting over $7 but it seemed like they should have just waived the second parking fee. We would not stay here again. We would rather try or luck at a different one in the area.

This bed and breakfast was wonderful! I was traveling on a budget and I took the inkeeper's special package. I wasn't expecting much given I was going to get one of their smaller value rooms but I was blown away when I ended up in the Egyptian Room. The room was stunning! The bed was so comfortable, the design of the room was beautiful and the towels were fresh and fluffy. The staff were helpful in explaining how everything worked, breakfast was served quickly and efficiently and it was absolutely delicious. Red velvet pancakes?! Yes please! All of the extras like the tea in the afternoon and the milk and cookies in the evening really were such a nice added touch. The location was also perfect because I was able to walk to many things and see all Savannah had to offer. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone!

We had a fabulous stay here. As a family of four we were in an annex with 3 bedrooms , 2 living spaces , dining room and sizeable kitchen . All very clean and beautifully furnished with the added bonus of private parking. It was almost the same size as our home in London !! It was ideally situated we could walk everywhere and enjoy Savannah's gorgeous squares and houses. All the staff were friendly and helpful - especially Pam. I would recommend it to anyone and wish we'd stayed a bit longer.

My boyfriend and I stayed here during our visit to Georgia. This place is the epitome of southern charm and hospitality. I enjoyed every second staying here. This establishment is located on a quiet, tree-filled street that is a short walk to the river and downtown area. The room was immaculate and charming. The decor was Victorian-chic (as my boyfriend describes it), definitely has a historic feel. Breakfast was delicious. Evening cookies and milk made it a perfect visit. I would love to go back soon!

What a delightful place! We enjoyed the innkeeper special rate and stayed in the Parlor room, which was lovely. We stayed in this lovely home like setting cheaper than we did our hotel room in Jax Beach the next night! The people were so good to us. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a great stay! The inn is a little farther from the main part of Savannah than I thought but we enjoyed walking and talking on the trip so it wasn't bad at all. Service was wonderful, food was yummy, and the cats are an added bonus :-) We loved how our room (the blue cottage) had it's own separate entrance...we felt we were in our own little world! I would certainly recommend this inn to anyone thinking about staying.

Savannah's Bed and Breakfast Inn is in a wonderful location, just 2 blocks from Forsyth Park, and right around the corner from the Mercer House. The Inn has wonderful breakfasts each morning, that change so you don't end up eating the same thing every day. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the historic charm is fun to explore. The staff is very friendly, and always willing to help with any questions about Savannah. I would stay here again.
3,2 sur juillet 11, 2014
Loved the room we stayed in and the staff was friendly but not as helpful with questions and didn't go "out of the way" to make it feel homey. We have stayed at hundreds of B&B's but have never stayed at one where the proprietor was not present. The food was definitely the lowest quality we have ever had. Location a bit off the beaten path of downtown Old Savannah but that is what we enjoy.

We arrived at the inn around noon, check in wasn't until 3 so the woman at the desk gave us a great lunch idea and a map of the area. After walking around for a few hours, we returned to find numerous couples, families waiting to check in. A great guy, Fred showed the customers to their rooms. Meanwhile, I hear the same woman complaining to another employee about someone didn't show up, someone quit, blah, blah, blah. We're still waiting to be checked in, I found it rude that not only did she talk about how crappy her day was, she didn't try to help us get settled. I get it, we all have bad days, but the last thing someone wants to hear on vacation is someone complaining, loudly at that. Fred showed us to the Telfair room, very clean, cute and exactly what I expected. There were nice gestures, afternoon tea, baked cookies every night and breakfast every morning.

My daughter and I stayed here several nights on our trip to visit SCAD. Every part of our stay at the inn was wonderful. We took advantage of their package where you move to different rooms. Our stay in the Chatum and Pulaski rooms were great. The Chatum looks out over the square and Pulaski overlooks the courtyard with a spiral staircase leading down to the lower deck for breakfast. Rooms are decorated nicely, beds were comfortable and bathrooms are completely updated. There is lots of character throughout the inn, as well. It is in a great location central to everything. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone.
3,2 sur juin 24, 2014
The rooms were just like the pictures. The location is perfect. But it was lacking the whole social gathering and welcoming of a bed and breakfast that I expected. They gave you your keys, told you what was around, but that was the same experience I've had at others.. I've stayed at many b n b's and maybe it was just the people there that weekend. I kind of think it had to do that there was really no bnb owner there to initiate this type of atmosphere. Our breakfast on our first day wasn't good right off the bat, so we decided to eat out the rest of our trip.

If you want to stay in the heart of the Historic district this is a good choice. Service was very good, breakfast was excellant, room very clean and as represented on line although a bit smaller than we expected. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs. Stairs up to check in, then out the door and down to another set of stairs into the building then 2 flights of stairs up to room. All that aside, it was a very convenient place to stay and in walking distance of most points of interest. Good value for the money.

I enjoyed my stay here. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly yet not overbearing. The food was good but lacked selection and it would have been nice to have a little more of it. The room we stayed in was very cool and unique with an interesting Egyptian theme. The bed and breakfast was conveniently located and we could walk to nearly ever place of interest in Savannah without difficulty.

It was our first visit to Savannah and we loved our chosen room at the B&B. Sometimes what you see in the photo is not what you get in real life, but not the case here - the room was divine. And a GREAT bargain. Why spend the same at a generic hotel when you can have the character and charm of the B&B with personalized meals? We had some housekeeping issues and that is the only negative thing I can say about the B&B. The breakfasts were nice - they had a dish that changed every day or a healthy option instead. We had healthy every morning and the only disappointment was that the healthy breakfast was the same every day - yummy, but after 4 days getting a little boring. The people who staff the B&B are really nice. Helpful. Ready and willing to make your stay fabulous. I highly recommend and despite the unfortunate housekeeping situation, we would book the same room for our next visit to Savannah.

Very neat hotel. Good location. Everywhere is in walking distance. Need to park on the street but the hotel would pay for the meter during the stay. The only disadvantage is you have carry the luggage to walk through very narrow stair case if you stay on the high floors. But of course, the staff would normally offer to help carry the luggage for you.

Great place to stay right in the historic district. Several older homes that were converted, not your typical chain hotel. Conveniently located, we walked everywhere. Breakfast was great, rooms are very nice, staff very pleasant and helpful with making reservations and offering suggestions of places to eat and things to see. 4:00 tea and bedtime cookies and milk made a wonderful stay even better. We had a really enjoyable stay. The room was really spacious for three people. The location was ideal, we parked the car for free for the entire week end and could walk around the city. We never used the car which was much appreciated. We arrived around midnight and were very well welcomed even though it was late. The lady showed us round and gave us great piece of information. We especially appreciated the outstanding breakfast, different and fresh every morning. We also enjoyed playing dame while eating home made warm cookies in the evening. We would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

The Inn is located on Chatham Square, which is one of the loveliest and more residential (quietest) squares in Savannah. We decided on the innkeepers special and were put in the Parlor room. Not recommended for light sleepers is right, still the room itself was beautiful. Service was average in the evening, but significantly more professional during the day. Breakfasts are small, but tasty (based on the 2 days we stayed). Great central location and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants.

We booked a "May Manager's Special" for our one night stay in Savannah. We were very pleasantly surprised to have terrific accomodations. The location is lovely; the breakfast great!

We loved our stay at the Savannah B&B. The rooms are really comfortable and charming. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The complimentary afternoon tea and bedtime milk and cookies were greatly appreciated after a day walking round and exploring the squares and streets. The B&B is ideally situated where the walk to the more commercial Liberty St & River St is not too far, but then the more interesting residential and local restaurants and bars are around you. This will definitely be the place we stay any time we visit Savannah.

This was our first time to stay at a B & B and we were very pleased with our choice. The suite was beautiful and spacious overlooking the Chatham Square. The location was a little out of the commercial district which we loved. It was quite and private yet close enough to walk most anywhere you wanted to go. We were only 2 blocks from Forsythe Park and numerous shops and restaurants. The innkeepers were informative and booked several tours for us. Breakfast was good but nothing outstanding. We were never there at tea time but did partake of the nighttime milk and cookies. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Loved Savannah B & B and highly recommend.

The Savannah B&B Inn is a really great value. It is centrally located near restaurants and sites in the historic district. It is a beautifully restored historic building in its own right. The Telfair suite was nicely furnished and very comfortable, but could have used a bit more vacuuming prior to our arrival. There are beautiful, private courtyards behind the building in which to relax before and after site seeing. The breakfasts were delicious, though portions were a bit small, but different food each day. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but I think that will be the case with any B&B in the historic district. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, The Savannah B&B Inn ranks above average in our experience of B&Bs.

If you want a place to stay that will make you feel like you're in the heart of old Savannah, this is it. We were absolutely charmed by our room at the top of the stairs. We threw open the windows and let the spring breeze from Chatham Square fill the room. We were close to everything. The staff gave great advice about where to go and what to see. They explained everything. We ate our breakfast on the back porch overlooking the courtyard. Such a peaceful spot. And we stayed for no more than it would have cost for a generic room in a sterile corporate hotel. They feed the meters, too! A great experience.

My stay at the Savannah Bed & Breakfast Inn was amazing. The rooms & entire inn were beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The breakfast both mornings was great & had a variety of options. I would recommend this inn for anyone looking to stay at a bed & breakfast in downtown Savannah.

This B & B was nicely furnished and clean, the staff was very willing to offer suggestions on things to do and places to eat, however, since it is an historic building, the steps are very steep and curved which might be a problem for older people or those with disabilities. There are rooms on the first floor but there are 13 steps to get to the first floor and 19 steps to get to the second floor. The food was good but not gourmet or plentiful with only the Chef's special which changed daily or the healthy alternative which remained the same every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Until just recently we had not visited Savannah in a number of years. We began our relationship with the Inn during the eighties and over a period of about fifteen or so years we stayed in most of the rooms available in the two buildings. We started at a rate of $38 per night. We always enjoyed our visits and the genuine hospitality provided. It was a nice surprise to see that the accommodations have been expanded and even more pleased with how great the total experience has remained. Jim and Sue Trapnell Marietta, GA

We had a wonderful time at the B&B and I wanted to share our experieince of our stay. We were in the Jasmine room which is on the same level as the concierge and parlor. Our room was very cozy and we loved the fact that we could step out of our room and look out into the courtyard. We got in late but were able to find a parking space where we didnt have to move our car for the entire stay! We were able to walk to one of the recommended restaurants and eat dinner and peach pie to die for. That was followed up by a wonderful breakfast at the Inn which was very tasty! We also enjoyed the fact that the location was very convenient for walking into town or back towards the parks and squares. We were able to walk to Bay Street within 10 minutes which was great. Overall our stay was wonderful; the accomodations were great, I loved the cats, we enjoyed the cookies and breakfast was just right. The staff was very friendly and unobtrusive. We will definitely plan to stay again when we are in Savannah; thank you to you and your staff for a great get away.

My research showed Savannah's Bed & Breakfast Inn had great prices, superb location, and a killer breakfast. We were not disappointed. We parked the car and walked throughout the river and historical districts for four days. The service was especially friendly and helpful. They even adapted to gluten-free needs with a flair. Highly recommended.

My husband and I visited Savannah for our wedding anniversary Aug. 2-4. We booked the Inkeeper's Special, which is a discounted rate for those willing to change rooms throughout their stay. We stayed in both the Turkish and Egyptian rooms, and enjoyed them both. I recommend you stay on the top floor (if you're able to climb narrow stairs), because this historical inn is a bit creaky! We could easily walk into historical downtown within 10-15 minutes. It was a great value for the location.

My husband and I spent two nights in the Lane Cottage, which is located in the former carriage house of one of the townhouses that make up this inn. It was clean, had a full kitchen and sitting area downstairs, and a bedroom, bathroom, and walk in closet upstairs. Be aware that the king size bed is really two twins pushed together with a passable bridge between the two so that it is not too noticeable, but you may find it irritating if you have back problems or want to sleep right in the middle of the bed. Check-in was easy, and the staff very helpful in explaining the inn's procedures as well as in providing maps of Savannah and marking whatever items you request on the maps. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main town house, and there were options to choose from (chef's savory special, chef's sweet special, and healthy). The food was good; in fact, our first day the dish was a sausage and vegetable quiche that was amazingly delicious! This B&B is located in the quieter part of Savannah's Historic District right on Chatham Square, and approximately one block from the northwestern corner of Forsyth Park. The inn has a number of rooms spread across several of the townhouses on the block, providing options for those who wish to have private entrances to their accommodations. There is plenty of on-street parking in the area, and the inn is within a 15 (or less) walk of River Street, the Juliette Gordon Low House, Colonial Park Cemetery, and most of Savannah's well known restaurants such as the Olde Pink House. The Mercer-Williams House (of "Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil" fame) is only a couple of blocks away. Bottom line: convenient location, good rooms, good food, and helpful service.

We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and planned to return to Savannah. We had always stayed on Tybbe but this time wanted something different. So we decided to stay in the B & B. As I said earlier we had never stayed in a B&B before and didn't really know what to expect. I had read many on the reviews and got a mixed bag of opinions. After I booked we had several problems with scheduling vacation and work. I had to change our reservation 3 times but the staff took very good care of os and with no complaint to us. After we finally got that settled and had the Tomochichi room reserved I read more reviews. Some good and some not. Well I don't know where the ones that gave it a poor review stayed but our experince was wonderful. The breakfasts tasted good and presented beautifully. The staff was well informed about the area, helpful and so very friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was friendly as well. He came in to eat while we were havinv our breakfast. I reccommend the Savannah Bed and Breakfast to anyone who wanted to see the beautiful city and historical buildings.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night for our anniversary. We booked a cottage room, and loved it! The cottages are separated from the main house by a courtyard, which makes them more private. The cottage we booked also had balcony that overlooks the courtyard. We both loved the location. The building is in the historic district, which means everything is in walking distance, but it is not in a heavy tourist traffic area, so it was peaceful and quiet. The staff members were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious (homemade banana bread french toast with thick cut bacon and fresh fruit). We plan to stay again in the near future!

We're new to B&Bs, having only stayed in three, but this was our favorite by far. We stayed in the Jasmine Room. You should be warned that this is right next door to the dining room/staff workrooms, so you can hear the staff working. That's okay, they're generally quiet, but a few times we could hear conversations through the wall/door behind the wardrobe (and I'm sure that they could hear us, too). Honestly, the room was big, and very nice, although the heat was a little odd. The bathroom heated up quite a bit more than the main room, so you might want to keep the door open except when it's in use. The pictures of it on the B&B's website are fairly accurate, unlike some other B&Bs. Location is prime, right in the middle of where you'd want to be. Right next to Forsyth Park, it is easy to walk everywhere downtown. We would caution against taking breakfast at the B&B. Although we liked it because the owners were not trying to engage us in conversation at a set time, but, rather, serving as we liked, breakfast was not too good. It was a bit odd, but the menu does rotate. We ended up skipping it the next day, mainly because Savannah has so many good places to eat breakfast.

We had a really nice stay. Everything was in good order. The inn is at the southern end of town close by Forsythe Park on one of the small, beautiful squares. It's a bit of walk to get up to the River St area but not too bad because there is plenty to see while walking and the weather wasn't too bad just before Xmas. I guess we only had a couple things we were disappointed with as far as the inn. We had the Tree Top room and it is located about 5 doors down the street from the building with the office where breakfast and tea was served so it's not very convenient. The Tree Top room is on the 3rd level so we had a lot of stairs to climb and my g/f was having foot problems....not fun. We knew the situation with the stairs when booking though so I can't complain too much. The shower was a little weak also. Otherwise, this was a really nice place to stay for the price and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends.

We just arrived home from a 10 day trip to Charleston, Savannah and Fort Myers. The whole trip was great but our favourite Bad and Breakfast was Savannah`s Bed and Breakfast. The staff was SO helpful and suggested restaurants, trolly tours etc. and also booked them for us. My husband loved it so much and raved about the room, food, court yard and service. This place was done with so much care and attention to detail! It really is centrally located and added to our complete Savannah experience. Thanks so much for your pursuit of excellence in the Bad and Breakfast industry!

My husband and I along with our friends stayed for the Labor Day Weekend, the staff was very helpful. Gave us directions and recommendations to some great places to eat, and we didn't have to pay for parking. The location is close and within short walking distance to almost everything in the historic district. We stayed in the Live Oak room. It was very large and spacious, but didn't prefer it having no balcony and separate from the communal courtyard. Our friends stayed in the Ivy Cottage, and that room was fantastic. The price was very fair (given it a holiday weekend) and we will definitely go there again!

The inn requires guests to complete a breakfast voucher with the number of breakfasts and a scheduled time each day. This is inconvenient for the guests and something I have never had to do in any other B & B. The cottage we reserved was not available due to an emergency, so we stayed the first night in the Red Cottage. The toilet did not work properly; the shower curtain rod and shower head were rusty. Due to the toilet clogging up, we were late to our breakfast "appointment" and our food was cold, even though we called and told the desk about our problem and that we would be late. The following day, we asked to move to the cottage we reserved, the Cottage on the Lane. In order to get to this cottage, we had to walk out the front door, down the street, around the corner and down the alley behind the property - past dumpsters and trash cans. I was unhappy about walking down the alley when returning to the room at night, but the gentleman who took us there seemed oblivious to my concern. Later, I went to the main house to complete our breakfast voucher, he called and offered to change our room to the Ivy Cottage. The Ivy Cottage was not clean, and we thought that maybe it hadn't been used in a while and that it would be cleaned the following day. It was not.

This was my first trip to this historic city and we could not have picked a better place to stay. It was beautiful inside and out. It was exactly what I pictured a B&B in Savannah to be. The period furniture and design of the rooms took me back to the old south. The breakfast was wonderful and service was great, and it was within walking distance of the places we wished to see. We will return. L. Richardson PS: I really loved the milk and fresh baked cookies each night.

My fiancee and I booked at the last minute, and opted for the manager's special (only catch is they may move you, but we lucked out and got to stay in one of their nicer rooms both nights, for about half what some others were paying. This isn't your typical B&B, with a few unique rooms, in a private house. This is really more like an inn, but with all the B&B-type amenities (minus the owners who usually spend time chatting with you, making suggestions on where to eat, what to see, etc.) The breakfasts were delicious, with variety and options (and staff were willing to accommodate special requests). You could get afternoon tea and treats, bedtime milk and cookies (seriously!). And of course the location was absolutely perfect. It was far enough away from some of the busier sections of historic Savannah to be quiet, but close enough to walk to pretty much everything you wanted to see or do. The staff were also willing to book tours or excursions or make reservations for you (one tip: don't bother with the ghost tour in Savannah. After doing one in New Orleans a few days before, I was extremely disappointed with it. It was much more about snapping pictures and hoping to see something — dust motes, usually — than it was about the history.) Do eat at the Olde Pink House (best make a reservation, or wait an hour for a table) or at 1790, both were delicious. Both are within walking distance from this place.

My husband and I took the Manager's Special for 3 nites and had a beautiful room, actually nicer than our friends who spent double on theirs. Breakfast was great and so were the snacks. I tried the healthy breakfast one day and the staff was very accomidating because another guest that had that same breakfast asked for eggs also and they made her special request. Each breakfast was made to order and the snacks and tea time were good too. The B&B is situated in a convienent location and you can walk to just about any place you want to. We look forward to staying with you next year!

Not what I look for in a B & B. Stayed in 3 other B & B's on our way to Savannah and all others had friendly, homey owners who talked to you and gave suggestions on what to see, eat and/or how to get there. This is a Business B & B not a mom and pop one. Yes, I opted for the cheapest room but still did not expect to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Also did not get a good first impression as when we arrived exactly 1 hour earlier than check-in we were told to come back in one hour - no offer of relax, have a coffee and we will advise you when room is ready. Regret not finding another B & B and footing the added expense

My husband gave me a trip to Savannah for my birthday since I'd never been. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay one night but this was a wonderful and charming place to land when we got there. We loved being 1/2 a block from the Mercer House and across the street from Chatham Square. It was just far enough from the hustle-and-bustle that we could rest but also walk a few blocks to eat and shop. The staff and accommodations were lovely and they helped us book a trolley tour that picked us up and dropped us off at the B&B's front door. We stayed in the Tea Olive room which is under the front door steps. The management has a disclaimer about the noise but we did not notice any. The house cats were also a charming addition to this great little B&B.

My husband and I stayed here for the Rock N Roll Weekend back in November. We loved our stay. It was VERY convenient to the start and finish of the race and they even had a special early breakfast for all the runners. The only downside is that finding a parking is rough, but that is due to street parking regulations rather than the inn.

My husband and I both really enjoyed our stay at this inn. We stayed in the Tomochichi room. The room was cozy and nicely appointed. The innkeepers were friendly enough and food was good. I loved the location because it was right beside Forsyth Park which is a massive and gorgeous place!!!

I strongly suggest that you call the Inn to confirm the details on the email confirmation you receive. I requested the Azalea room, with two queen beds, and that is what was printed on my email confirmation. When we got to the Inn, we learned we were in the Jasmine room, one queen bed. As the Inn was full, no change could be made. The person at the reception desk was very quick to try to remedy the situation by bringing us a roll-away bed. He truly seemed to be at a loss as to how the error occurred. The room we had was lovely and we did enjoy our stay. When I returned home I found a gift certificate in the mail from the Inn for a two-night stay for two persons - and hopefully my friend, who slept on the roll-away bed, will be able to use it.

The accommodations were adequate, but a number of minor annoyances added up to a less than stellar experience. The bed squeaked intolerably with every minor movement. The television emitted a low-pitched whine when turned off. The door to the television cabinet would not stay open (we had to prop it open with a wad of kleenex to be able to watch the tv). The stop for the cold water knob in the tub was missing or broken (the knob would keep turning because there was nothing to stop it in the "off" position, we had to find off manually and carefully set the knob to that position). Although wi-fi in all rooms was an advertised amenity, the signal in our 3rd floor room was spotty at best. The food was edible, but nothing special. 2 of our 3 breakfasts featured scrambled eggs and sausages. The evening tea chocolate chip cookies tasted to be slice-and-bake, and were a bit over baked. As a bit of a foodie, the offerings were a disappointment. The building and neighborhood were wonderful though, all of historic Savannah is quite beautiful. The staff was very friendly, and the owner stopped by our table to personally ensure we were enjoying our stay. Those seeking the "traditional" B&B experience should be aware that this particular establishment is run more like the Inn part of its name than the B&B part though. The higher number of guests made for a more impersonal stay than might be expected in a B&B with only 6 or so rooms.

Our family stayed during the week of Thanksgiving 2011. I must say we were absolutely delighted bout the Sgt. Japer House. We have 3 boys who are well traveled, that commandeered the third floor for themselves. The staff and owner Mr. Mcallister, exceeded our expectations. The location is outstanding, as well as all the goodies. We WILL be back again as our children have dubbed the Savannah Bed and Breakfast Inn as our official Savannnh home.

We stayed two nights at Savannah's delightful Bed and Breakfast Inn. The staff was warm and welcoming, and our "Library" room was clean and comfortable. One thing lacking was comfortable furniture in the Parlor. A comfy sofa and some overstuffed chairs would be nice for gathering with friends and mingling with other guests. I believe with a little creativity this could be accomplished and still allow the parlor to be converted to a dining area for breakfast. Or perhaps the owners should consider converting a ground floor guest room to a more comfortable parlor. I would also suggest that the owners install double pain windows in the guest rooms that face the street. Conversations from the street could be heard and the extremely noisey street cleaning machine Saturday and Sunday nights would wake even the soundest sleepers. We will definitely return, but will request a rear facing room next time.

This b&b is lovely, but seems quite worn. We've stayed in b&bs all over the south and won't be staying here again. Our previous experience with b&bs has been with very hands-on owners who have given a lot of attention to detail. Here, the owner did not greet us and we only saw him for a few minutes at breakfast. The towels, sheets, placemats, etc., seemed old, dingy, and cheap. The vibe of the place was uncomfortable. There were a lot of rules posted. When we checked in, a staff member gathered several guests in the dining room so she could go over the rules for parking and breakfast. It was a rather off-putting start to our stay. There is no on-site parking. We asked different staff at different times about transportation from the b&b to the riverfront area. We were told about a bunch of different (paying) tours that they could arrange at the desk, but no one mentioned the free trolley that travels through the historic area which we found near the end of our visit. We stayed in the cottage, which is really a small apartment in the alley behind the main row houses. Access was through a creepy locked passageway. Inside was much larger than a usual hotel room, nicely decorated, with a kitchenette and table (no sofa). The bedroom and bathroom are up a very steep set of stairs. The bed sagged horribly on one side, was extremely uncomfortable, and the bedding was dingy. While the place was fairly clean, the meticulous appearances we've experienced at other b&bs was not present. For example, the bathtub/shower combo was clean and fairly new, but it had the nastiest yellowed and mildewed no-skid mat. After we returned home, we got the receipt for a tour that one of the staff had booked for us. My mistake was not asking the price ahead of time. I assumed booking through the hotel would get a discount. We were actually charged $3 more each than the published price!

OK, so we weren't there on the weekend, but rather during the week. Didn't matter, the place was great. This B&B is located in a charming set of row houses in the historic district of Savannah, convenient to both that district, downtown shopping, and the Riverwalk. The food & service at breakfast was exceptional, the personal service warm & welcoming. We stayed in the cottage behind the main house, complete with kitchen & living room. The only downside: the rollaway bed was hideously uncomfortable.

Spotless rooms with a lot of charm (we stayed in two different rooms on two separate weekends) and absolutely perfectly located. Breakfast was fine but nothing fabulous; the cookies, however, were delicious. We thought it was a excellent value considering the price of most Savannah B&Bs. Note: if you're looking to party on River Street or in the City Market, it is a little far (we weren't so we loved it).

We booked our room at the Inn, and loved it at first sight. However, that evening I fractured my femur and spent the next five days at Memorial Health. My husband stayed at the Inn, and the care and concern for both him and me that was shown by the staff was outstanding. They ensured that he had a place to stay and expressed their concern and good wishes each day. They could not have been kinder or more helpful, and we plan to return and thank them in person again some day.

From the night we arrived after dusk, we couldn't believe the sights and service in this beautiful historic B&B Inn. Then when we were shown to the Egyptian room, it certainly exceeded my expectations, especially with the quality of the furnishings and decor. And having a print form of the history of the Inn, made us even more knowledgeable about Savannah. The meals and service were outstanding. Even more pleasurable was the porch over looking the courtyard with all the flowers- a true southern experience! Thanks, Deborah & Steve Harder.

Joey from the front desk was fabulous! He gave us so many wonderful suggestions and always had time for us. Housekeeping and breakfast servers also did a great job. The only thing wrong was the shower water temp kept going hot/cold/hot/cold. Really everything else was perfect!

We stayed for two nights at this lovely B&B in the room called the Parlor. It is a charming B&B in a wonderful, quiet location. The gardens out back were charming for visiting with family we met in Savannah. It is a quick walk to Forsyth Park, Mrs Wilkes, the Johnny Mercer house and the surrounding area is beautiful for walking. We were across from the Chatham Square and so convenient to touring Savannah. Couldn't have been more pleased with the location and the welcome we enjoyed at the B&B. They go out of their way to assist you. We loved the wireless in our room and a convenient computer and printer to print out what we needed while there.

I have never been to Savannah proper before and was sort of concerned about paying such expensive prices to stay downtown. However, the deal I got on this hotel made it not so bad plus there were so many perks I couldn't pass it up! Homemade breakfast every morning, tea time, milk and cookies before bed, plus a very friendly staff and great location made this an amazing place to stay! All of the staff was super helpful and very sweet. The rooms are quaint and clean with an old time feel. The bathroom was heavenly and spacious, plus it had a great view. Short 10-15 minute walk from River street. Overall an amazing trip at an amazing B&B!!!

For two English visitors, we found the accomodation lacking - bearing in mind the price paid. The parking was looked after, which was very useful. The treck in the morning for breakfast was a pain and the breakfast was inflexible. We found the bed most uncomfortable. All was very clean but change of towels was infrequent, perhaps the climb up those stairs put the staff off, I know it did for us the first day trying to climb those stairs with suitcases. However, the location was good with easy walking to any of the sights.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a romantic weekend get away, and it was wonderful. We did a lot of research before booking and decided this was the best option for the money, and we were right! Clean rooms, super friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast every day was delicious and filling. We walked EVERYWHERE from the inn. 15 minute walk to River Street and City Market, 3 minutes to Forsyth Park. The staff was so helpful in suggesting activities and restaurants. They will even book tours for you and charge it to the room. They made everything so easy and made us feel very welcome. Excellent experience- we would definitely stay there again!

We loved the special treats of cookies and milk at night and bread pudding at tea in the afternoon. Breakfast was really good, and our room was very clean. the location is great, although Savannah's parking is tight and meter needed tending, but the Inn did it once we were checked in. They recemmended neat local restaurants, which is what we enjoy. the outdoor balcony/courtyard was enjoyable. It was a great spot.

We loved our room (the nicely appointed Egyptian room, on the 3rd floor overlooking the square), the warm welcome from the staff, the daily tea and evening cookies and milk, the location, within the historic district, not far from the visitor's center, the other squares with historic houses, and a good local bar for dinner. We'll definitely stay here again if we get back to Savannah.

The place was clean and the service was ok. They have street cleaning during the weekend so if you drive your car, you better either leave it and walk around or get back to the bed & breakfast early or you're not going to find a parking spot close to the facility. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. The food was slightly warm. The best part were the evening chocolate chip cookies. It's a perfect location if you want to walk around Savannah & see all the great sights.

The Inn was nice, very friendly staff, great service. Fantastic breakfasts. The rooms were nice. We stayed in the Red Cottage, which was a 2 story room off the courtyard. While not luxurious, it is definitely worth the price. If you are not a walker though, this may be too far from the 'attractions' of Savannah. The Forsyth Park area is about a mile from the river... not a problem for us, because we love to walk around the city.

Was able to walk or enjoy the trolley's for the entire weekend. Thank you SCAD for caring about the historic city and striving to save as much as possible. Thank you Savannah for the entertaining Holiday Lights Parade. Thank you Savannah B and B for the enjoyable stay. We are already planning next years long weekend.

A historic B&B in a beautiful and historic city. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was always friendly and helpful. They even assisted with special dietary needs at breakfast and Tea Time. My husband and I stayed here 2 nights of our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly but to be honest, and not complain, but we were very disappointed with the breakfast. It was very ordinary and boring. We have stayed at several B&B's in the past and the breakfast we had were much more gormet. Our room was ok but I think the decor of the living/dining room could have been a bit more decorative. Chances are we probably won't go back there but definitely will visit Savannah again.

Got a work out walking to the top floor room, but it was worth it. Was exactly what we expected. Felt like a step back in time, room was clean and the furniture matched the feel. Staff was very helpful and set up our tours and gave us lots of info. Breakfast was good. My new wife and I really enjoyed it and will stay there again. I even sneaked in a couple of cookies when she was not looking and they were delicious. The paying of the meter in the morning was awesome and allowed us to enjoy our morning. Breakfast was good and citing on the outside patio was nice and imagining how things might of been previously. Highly recommend the ghost tour, learned alot of interesting historical facts. Bring a bottle of wine, unplug from the rectangle, enjoy, and it is definitely better than some fully modernized hotel for the experience.

Located on the southern side of the Historic district this place was a little piece of history in and of itself. A slightly modified old row house block with an immaculate private central garden. I would say an ideal place for honeymooners. Food and staff were excellent. Oh, the rooms only got a "lower" score because all the pictures on their website truly let you see what you are getting.

My husband and I stayed at Savannah's Bed and Breakfast Inn on a recent trip to the south. Everything was wonderful! We stayed in the Parkview, which had a great view. The room was very bright and welcoming, and the brick wall was gorgeous. My only complaint would be that the water pressure completely disappeared a couple times during our showers, but it came back on after a minute or two. All in all, a great place to stay!

The Savannah B&B Inn definitely exceeded all expectations. Besides being a great value, we were upgraded to a 4 bedroom house that was decorated beautifully and felt like home. I stayed in B&B Inn in December 2001 while looking for an apartment before college started and it was amazing. The breakfast was spectacular...I stayed again 2 months ago and the service is still one of the best I ever experienced. The lady who cooks is great I had one of the best quiche Lorraine then and the best pancakes in a long while. The location is very good since is not on one of the most busy streets. I recommend B&B Inn if you are looking for a quiet place with an elegant service that covers every aspect of staying in a b&b.

My wife and I chose this bed and breakfast for two reasons at first: Easy online reservations and Value. We were pleasantly surprised during our stay there how nice this place actually is. Once you walk into the front door, you are met by the innkeeper. From that moment on, everything is a breeze. Our first room was the Azalia Room. That came with 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The next evening we stayed in the Jasper House. It was 3 floors with everything you could ever ask for inside. My wife and I will definately stay here again and we look forward to it very much so. We LOVED it.

We found this location through and online search and checked out the manager's $99 special. This special puts you in any unfilled room. My husband and I were placed in a three story house all to ourselves which was fun but also a little creepy. We had three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a full kitchen, two living rooms, formal dining room, private courtyard and a designated parking area! My only wish is that we could have stayed longer than one night. One thing to remember about the manager's special, they put you in what ever room is avalilable for THAT night. You may get moved if you have an extended stay. Although as friendly as everyone was I have no doubt they would do their best to make your visit the easiest and most comfortable for you. Breakfast was good but the portions were on the small side. We had a choice of fresh made blueberry pancakes or yogurt and fruit. Both were fresh and yummy. The breakfast area was nice in that it gave us an opportunity to chat with other guests. We missed the cheese and wine reception because we chose instead to take a short drive to Tybee Island and eat at The Crab Shack. I must say, this was the best low-country boil I've ever had. Savannah's Bed and Breakfast is perfectly located with a small park right at the corner, also one block from Mercer Williams House as seen in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", and two blocks down from the very large Foley park. Savannah was a half-point stay on a trip to Florida. I hope some day to return here for a longer visit and definitely recommend Savannah's Bed & Breakfast.

This was our second stay at the B&B, choosing it for our 30th wedding anniversary. The food was superb, along with the coziness of the room. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Bob for introducing yourself and pulling up a chair at breakfast for a chat!

Our second trip to Savannah had us, once again, staying at the Bed and Breakfast-Savannah on Douglas St. The establishment is absolutely perfect for two people, like the honeymooners we met, or a family, like ours. We stayed at the Connor house about a 45 second walk from the main building. Self contained, quiet, comfortable with amenities that you’d think expect only at five star Hiltons and the like. There’s a superb breakfast each morning and you get to eat family style meeting people from all over the country, hearing their stories of their upcoming marriage or tales of their existing honeymoon. We were there for our daughter. She met her fiancé in Savannah several years ago and a romantic wedding is planned for the two this October. The Savannah Bed and Breakfast will be on the list of places our guests can stay. Thanks again for such a great time. Cheryl, David, Devon, & Lindsay Werble

They catered to our needs and made us feel at home. It was our 25th Anniv. and my said I couldn't have made a better choice! We stayed in the Red Cottage, a must stay. This inn has a lot going for it, given the reasonable pricing for staying in the historic district. We stayed in the Jasmine Room, which had a nice outside terrace/courtyard: a picturesque place to sit in the afternoon and read a book and enjoy the ambiance. The wine and cheese hour was very nicely set out on Saturday and the breakfast was well prepared. The only negative of our stay was the bed, which was very hard and the pillows, which were few and uncomfortable. All-in-all a good value and friendly service.

My husband and I chose this Bed and Breakfast to spend our first night as newlywed. We drove from Virginia and didn't expect to have arrived as late as we did, nevertheless, we were greeted in a most friendly manner. THe innkeeper left us a note telling us what we needed to do, and met us not more than ten minutes later. The room we had originally booked was unavailable due to an expedia malfunction, but we were given a beautiful room in its place. My only complaint was the strong smell of perfume in the room, it wasn't terrible, but it was a little strong. We also had to walk up three flights of narrow stairs and were tired after a long day of driving. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. The breakfasts were delicious and fresh cooked to order. I was impressed by the taste and quality. My husband and I dined on the porch outside, and it was comfortable even though it was hot in August. We have never been to Savannah, and we can't wait to return. We will definitely return to this B&B, and stay longer.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left this place was great! We only stayed one night on our way to Hilton Head but wished we would have stayed here the whole week. Very friendly staff, beautiful location great snacks and breakfast. Normally when my wife and I go on vacation, go to a hotel. This time we decided to go with a B&b. The people were polite and the place was easy to find. The rooms were nicely decorated with brick walls and the fireplace added even more. Just like the rest of Savannah, it had an old feel. Would definitely stay here again.

This Bed & Breakfast is in a great old building, and the rooms are breathtaking. For the same price as a standard chain hotel in the area, you get extra charm, space and a delicious freshly prepared breakfast. There is a quiet outdoor courtyard with beautiful plants & adorable cat. The B&B is 15 min walking distance from River St. close to so much of the historic district. An added bonus: they pay for your parking (which is included in hotel price). Savannah is very strict about parking, so this is a major plus!!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and have told all my friends & family about it!

This B&B was wonderful to stay at but I was very disappointed in the limited breakfast menu. Since Breakfast is the second part of B&B the menu could have had more items other than pancakes or an egg without ham or bacon. Cereal, toast and more egg choices would have been wonderful.

Normally I love the reviews like these that shine light on the opportunities to improve the Bed & Breakfast Inn. However, this one leaves me a little confused about what the guest had desired. I'm left to believe that a miscommunication had occurred. Every day we offer self service on coffee, tea, milk, fresh baked goods, choice of dry cereals and homemade granola. Additionally, guests are served either a "Chief's choice" which on this day included pancakes and bacon and fresh fruit or an "Alternate" which is scrambled eggs, usually with sausage or bacon, toast and fruit. Our printed menu states clearly that if all this doesn’t meet your needs or expectations, just ask and we will suggest further alternatives. Perhaps this guest though he/she was limited to what was served and didn't help himself to cerel and baked goods, but this are always made available.

We spent this past 4th of July weekend at the Savannah Bed and Breakfast Inn and had a fabulous time. The hotel staff was more than accomodating as we arrived much later than their normal staffing hours at the hotel. Parking was so simple and paid for by the hotel. Breakfast was truly a delight--the chef's quiche was out of this world as was everything else he prepared each morning. We enjoyed tea each afternoon during the week as well as a great wine and cheese reception on the weekend afternoons that allowed us to mingle with some of the other guests as well. And of course, milk and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies each night were great also. All of these great things were just a bonus to the pleasant demeanor of everyone that was a part of the b&b staff. We really enjoyed the location of the b&b as well-- about a 15 minute walk from the heart of the historic district which allowed us to be away from all the touristy stuff but within walking distance when we wanted to go out to do something. We loved being in a more residential place that was so gorgeous. We could not have had a better time!

A cozy and quaint B&B situated on a beautiful Savannah square...What more could ask for? Savannah's Bed and Breakfast Inn is the ideal B&B for a traveler to beautiful Savannah, GA. The Inn maintains an old-world feel amidst modern innovation. Daily servings of sweet tea, lemonade, sweet cakes, fresh chocolate chip cookies and delicious breakfasts are only some wonderful aspects of the Inn. Service is wonderful with many helpers always willing to intelligently answer questions. If traveling to Savannah the Bed and Breakfast Inn is a wonderful place to stay!

Recently, I spent a spectacular three days in Savannah (June 23-26) and thoroughly enjoyed my accommodations - the Turkish Room. The staff accommodated an early arrival so that I could spend extra time with a friend whom I hadn't seen in more than three decades. I loved the turquoise walls and leafy view of Chatham Square. The room felt spacious despite the two twin beds. Although the bathroom couldn't hold all my toiletries there was adequate elbow room, and I was pleased by its cleanliness. Hangers were plentiful as well as drawer space. There were plenty of towels, but I would have liked a lightweight blanket in addition to the bedspread. Breakfasts were substantial and kept me going for hours as I walked the beautiful streets of Savannah. The location was fantastic - I was able to walk to everything in the historic district, including shops and evening restaurants, and found it to be exceptionally quiet. The staff was very helpful with directions, and their afternoon tea and evening cookies and milk created opportunities to socialize with other guests. I'd love to experience a longer stay!

I like to comment on the great room (Live Oak) we stood in it Friday night 6.27.09, however, the only problems I had, were that my husband recently had a heart attack and the rooms above us were quite noisy, I did report this but nothing was done to help, we did not get any sleep that night, but the room was great and truly romantic, also the other guest we met were so nice, loved trading stories from our locations. Also for a bed and breakfast, I feel on the steps leading to the room, and asked if they had any first aid items, and was told no, my husband did have to go to local pharmacy for alcohol and band aids. Also the menu was okay but not much variety for someone who is vegan or does not eat seleceted foods for breakfast next morning.

We stayed in the Magnolia room. Our group had the majority of rooms at the B&B that weekend. It was THE perfect place to have our reunion. Great common area for visiting with the others and lots of close-by good restaurants that accommodated our large group just fine.

This was way east to find, but a great location. Close enough to all the great things to do in Savannah, but away from the business. The Master's room has an amazing balcony, like a tree house, with an amazing view of the courtyard. Woke up to the smell of coffee and breakfast. The Bed & Breakfast Inn made the trip worth it all.

The staff here is wonderful and really took the time to help us with our needs. There is not anything we could think of that did not meet or exceed our expectations. The breakfast every morning was absolutely outstanding. This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast so we stayed in one of the cottages. It was very quiet and private. We were within walking distance to everything, and in fact did not get in our car from the time we parked it until we were ready to leave. We cannot wait to visit Savannah again and cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

My gf and I came to this Bed and Breakfast randomly. They were offering a deal in the visitor center, and we were looking for a room. So we decided to check it out. Took a walk over to it and we stayed in the Parlor Room. What a great place to stay!!! I mean the stay is great, the rooms amazing!!! The Breakfast was amazing also!!! The b&b is worth the price and worth the time to just go check out the place. I also liked the two entrance in. That was nice for the Parlor. They also have internet for people to use, which they have a printer if you need to print something AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! That was nice, we needed to print out a page that we forgot! They also have a walking tour you can take in the morning, which is nice if you want to take a tour. Lastly, It's clean and QUIET!!! Thank you Staff... Will be visiting you again when I come back to Savannah!!!

Savannah's Bed & Breakfast Inn represented the "hostess city of the South" very well! We were warmly greeted upon our arrival by very knowledgeable staff. They continued to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the full duration of our stay and made staying there very pleasant. The Inn was a treat and the location was great!

My sister and I shared the Treetop Suite for four nights over Memorial Day. We can accept rustic, but our floors were not swept for the entire time we were there, and one day, we had to call housekeeping to remind them that they hadn't visited our room that day. While the Savannah B&B Inn is well organized, it wasn't the warm or personal experience we had expected (and we even brought two pounds of chocolates to pre-thank our hosts!). With the exception of Pam and Paula at the front desk, the staff seemed kind of indifferent and sometimes a little spacey. Breakfasts were OK but not remarkable. If/when you make your reservation, be sure to inquire about whether your room is in the main row house or not. Our room was five doors down, which may have contributed to the feeling that we were outsiders. In 85-degree heat and pouring rain, it was rather inconvenient to climb the stairs to the main house just to let them know that we wanted breakfast the next morning.

Thank you for your very honest review. We take our guest’s comments very seriously, and I am truly sorry that your experience was less than you expected it to be. We try our best to provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and are able to connect with each other and staff during their visit. At times we may fall short of that ideal. In this case there may have been some misunderstanding as our records show this guest had asked us for “no service – towels and trash removal only” on one day they were here. We have sent the guest a gift certificate for a future stay. While the Tree Top Suite, Live Oak suite, and Cottage on the Lane are a few doors down from the main house, these rooms are ideal for those guests who prefer more peace, quiet, and privacy during their stay.

My daughter and I stayed here over a long weekend in May during our first trip to Savannah. I made our reservations based on other online reviews and we were more than delighted! Our rooms were lovely (the Azalea - two adjoining bedrooms), quiet, the beds very comfortable, both elegantly furnished, and spotless. We shared a bathroom which was more than adequate and again, spotless. The entire atmosphere of the inn is that of hospitality, warmth and comfort. From the breakfast each morning (delicious!) to the just-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies and milk at night we were pleased over and over again. The staff were all so pleasant, especially the female cook Saturday morning with her bright smile. The location is perfect, within walking distance to most everything, but with none of the noise and riff-raff you find on River St. Thank you, Bed and Breakfast Inn, we can't wait to return!

This was the PERFECT place for a Savannah vacation. It is steps from the famed Mercer house, a block from Bull Street, and steps from Forsyth Park. It's a little bit of a walk to the River - but even that's nice as the walk is beautiful and you can work off a little of the dinner at Paula Dean's. The food at the Inn is delicious and the staff is VERY helpful and friendly. Throw in the hot chocolate chip cookies before bed and you have a winner!

Wow, what a great weekend we just had. It was our first time to this B & B but loved it. Rooms were so nice, wine and cheese were great, cookies were awesome! It was a nice weekend getaway from three kids. It was so quiet here, it was almost eerie! Nice change of pace from our noisy, busy house and other parts of Savannah. It felt like you were staying in someone's gorgeous, old home. The staff is awesome! Three times better than any hotel. We will be back again for sure! Thanks again. -The Hatsells, Jacksonville, FL

We enjoyed staying in the Parlor Room during the first two nights of our honeymoon. The location is serene and beautiful, as the trees and flowers were in bloom. Strolling down the street yields sweet smells of jasmine. The fresh chocolate chip cookies and milk were a hit with the hubby. I had to drag him away from the cookie dish :) The outside dining area was beautiful and quiet. We watched a squirrel play in the tree as we dined. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed in the very comfortable Library Room for two nights. The whole experience was very nice. The breakfast was very tasty, as well as the afternoon tea and cookies left out at night. They are located right across the street from a beautiful public square, very near Forsyth Park, and of course the Mercer House. I would definitely stay here again, but the only problem was the wireless internet. We could not get it to work and the innkeeper said that sometimes it is tricky. But it was not a huge problem because they do have a computer for guests to use. Within walking distance of everything.

This bed and breakfast resides in a group of row/townhouses. Although the street parking is a bit awkward, the B&B feeds the meters for you. Doesn't have all the frills of fancier B&B's, but it is great for the price. Rooms were nice and clean. I loved the two kitties that visit with you in the courtyard! We stayed in the Jasmine which is on the first floor by the courtyard. It was nice, but you wouldn't want that room in warm weather because those partaking breakfast outside the room may wake late risers. The inn keepers also gave us great tips on some Savannah activities to do while we were in town.

We were not expecting to stay in Savannah but were so pleased when a local recommended Savannah's Bed and Breakfast Inn. The staff is so cordial it's hard to believe we never met before. They immediately made us feel at home and made an extra effort to locate information for us about local attractions we had asked about. Breakfasts are custom prepared by the chef. Everything is cooked on site. It is in the heart of a large and beautiful historical district, with so much to see and do within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again when we travel through the area.

This might be one of the nicest compliments we have ever received. We hope that by staying with us you feel more like a welcomed guest into a friend's home than a stranger in a hotel. What we can't offer in hotel-like amenities we make up for in personal service and the comforts of home. Thank you for the kind review.

The Bed and Breakfast Inn in Savannah, Georgia was a wonderful historic inn. It's located in the historic district. It's in a row-house community. The rooms are decorated with antiques and everything is wonderfully kept up. The room we stayed in is called the "Masters". It was a very large room with a non-working firplace and two wing chairs, tv console and armoire on one side. The other side of the room had a very high double bed that you needed to use one of those small stepping stools for. We had our own small balcony over looking a courtyard. The bathroom was large with tub and shower and makeup area. There was soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a hair dryer. Downstairs there was wine and cheese and crackers on Friday and Saturday nights. It was a nice way to meet other people and find out how their day went or how they were planning their day the next day. Breakfast was excellent. You gave them your choice the night before. You could have the chef special, which the first morning we were there, consisted of eggs cooked the way you want, bacon, biscuits, fresh fruit, fruit juice, coffee or tea. Or you could have cereals, pastry, etc. The next day for our breakfast we opted to try the stuffed french toast. It was delicious with a stuffing of a cream cheese mixture with peach marmalade and pecans. It came with sausage links. There was plenty to eat and all was very good. The staff was wonderful and very helpful with information. They made you feel right at home. Our room was cleaned very well and it was quiet when you were sleeping. Our bed was very comfortable. It was a quick walk to get to the busier area with shops and restaurants. Our tour buses picked us up at our inn and dropped us off. It is near a very large park with lovely fountains and statues. It feels more like a home with neighbors than a hotel in a busy city area. We would recommend this inn when staying in Savannah, GA.

I hate I waited so long to post this but I had to leave suddenly due to an emergency back in June '08. I cant say enough great things ab out the Inn and most important about the Innkeeper, Ms. McKenzie and her staff. I had to cut my stay short a day and had to leave over in the night. To me, a hot shower is basic. And without it, I'm not a happy camper. Unfortunately, it was not to be had during our two day stay. The hot water trickled out of the bathroom sink and shower faucets in about the diameter of a pencil. Told the owner, no improvement, no remuneration. Our dining room table cloth had a foot diameter coffee stain on it. The waitress saw it but shrugged it off.

Growing Pains... In October we opened two new beautiful rooms. We also tried to Go Green by installing energy efficient water heaters. Unfortunately for the first few guests these water heaters were not up to par. Since then we have corrected the problem and installed two tank-less heaters which provide unlimited hot water almost immediately and still save energy!

The hotel (and our booking agent, Expedia.com) neglected to tell us that our room was located on the 4th floor of a townhouse lacking an elevator. Luckily, we're in good shape, but an elderly person or a heart patient could not have managed those 3 flights without great difficulty. So, beware the Chatham & Pulaski Rooms. That aside, our room was lovely & the bathroom huge; the staff was very friendly and helpful; the breakfasts tasty & nourishing; the price reasonable and free parking a nice perk. The location is also great: just down the block from the Mercer mansion where the killing occurs in "Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil."

The historic Gordon Row was built prior to the Civil War in 1853. If you ask the owner to show you an elevator he will happily take you on a delightful tour of his home and demonstrate the use of a functional dumbwaiter. Given the historical preservation restraints an elevator is not feasible. We offer an array of rooms and cottages, some on street level, some up one, and some up two flights of stairs. Our standard rooms are perfect for the budget conscious who don't mind a bit of a climb, and are rewarded with a beautiful view of Chatham Square below. Pictures and descriptions (including their location) are listed on the Bed and Breakfast's website.

We'd like to thank all our guests for their patience with us as we completed the restoration of part of our century and half old row house. We have done our best to limit construction after 9am during the week only. As a result we have two new beautiful rooms, the Holly and the Azalea.

We just got back from staying at Savannah B&B and couldn't be more thrilled about our experience. The service was wonderful, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful, the food was delicious, and our rooms were great. We stayed in the Jasmine Room one night and the Cottage on the Lane the second night. The Jasmine room was charming, but was a little loud since the ice machine was close by and a main breakfast table was outside our windows. The Cottage on the Lane wasn't quite as charming, but was amazingly quiet and private, and extremely large. We lucked out with their "last minute" price special, so the value for what we received was excellent. And, the location in Savannah was amazing--a close walk to everything, but far enough away from River Street for some peace and quiet.

Wow. What a great place to visit. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Cottage on the Lane. I recommend this if you want to enjoy the feel of a B and B during breakfast and during the teas but like your privacy in the evenings i.e. not having to worry with hearing neighbors or being heard. Nice living area downstairs with kitchen - fridge, microwave, small kitchen table. Upstairs, a nice and comfortable (some reviews were unhappy with the beds here - ours was great).I did having trouble accessing their wi-fi in the cottage, so beware that. We were apprehensive about breakfast because of the reviews we had read regarding it. WHAT IS UP WITH PEOPLE??? The breakfast was great - Roosevelt (the chef) cooks up some great dishes and has a nice presentation for each plate. Listen closely and you can hear him carry a nice tune during the preparation. Coffee was good. Mugs and take out cups available. You can dine inside or out. Saw only one of the cats - no bother. We never made it to a tea or wine serving. They have only one person to care for you during the day/check-in so it can back up at times but they were ALWAYS pleasant. Very enjoyable stay. I even got engaged during the stay and this place did nothing but add wonderful memories to what was a fantastic long weekend stay.

During a recent roadtrip with my boyfriend, we stayed for 2 nights at the Bed and Breakfast in Savannah. We stayed in the "Live Oak" suite, which completely blew us away. Not only was it completely spacious, it was gorgeously decorated with a picturesque view from the front window. I liked that it was separate from the other rooms- we felt as if we were returning "home" each night. The only negative thing I have to say was that no one told us they were doing construction on the building before we booked...luckily we woke up early each day but the banging and machines started by 8AM literally outside our window! That was extremely annoying, and I wish I had been notified of this prior to booking. My boyfriend and I didn't socialize with the other guests during our short time, but the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We also liked that they had a basket of all the local menus in the parlor to help you choose a place to eat. Overall, it was a great romantic spot- I would definitely stay here again!
