Bed and Breakfast à Swan Lake a été conçu comme un Bed & Breakfast. Nous fournissons nos invités avec une escapade romantique, privée. Un petit déjeuner complet est servi sur la véranda avec jolie tablescapes. Nos chambres décorées individuellement offrent invités étourdissement des vues de Mountain Eagle avec le lac des cygnes privé au premier plan. Se détendre, se détendre et renouveler votre esprit. N'hésitez pas à l'itinérance, de marcher autour du lac, poissons et de randonnée. Oies et canards sauvages souvent le lac des cygnes. Soirée rafraîchissements sont offerts et "critter" regarder dans la véranda est un véritable hoot. My husband and I spent a peaceful week-end at Bed and Breakfast at Swan Lake in Hiawassee, Georgia in June 2012. To be accurate however, "Swan Lake" is not a lake, it is a pond. It is not suitable for swimming, but perfect for fishing from a dock across the pond on shared property with Hickorynut Cove Campgrounds. The only interuption in our "peace" however, was the "target shooting" across the pond from Hickory Cove. I was swinging on our covered porch outside our bedroom, when I heard non-stop target practice at 8:00am. for about an hour. The Veranda breakfast served upstairs, is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The artistic table settings and china is changed daily by Christine. I would not however suggest that this is a "romantic, private getaway" like advertised on the website. It does not have a hot tub outside, which we have experienced in previous B&B's for around the same price. To be "private" should include a private small refrigerator and microwave in the room, not just "dorm style" in the common area with the fireplace, reading area, and table games. We did have the whole place to ourselves that week-end, which I thought was odd for the month of June. Lovely furnishings but short on amenities. Christine's landscaping around the grounds is a feast for the eyes and spirit. It is well designed for an economical, country week-end getaway.

We stayed with Chris and Eric last fall for my husband's 40th birthday. We couldn't have picked a better time to enjoy the countryside and beautiful views, and the weather was still warm enough to walk the trails. We enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the water and the mountains, and watching the wildlife. We stayed in the cottage which was well appointed, comfortable, and clean. The breakfasts are not to be missed - those were some truly amazing meals! Chris is very creative in the kitchen, and develops an instant rapport with her guests - all while being very sensitive to when enough chit-chat is enough and knowing when her guests would like time to themselves. We can't wait for our next visit to Swan Lake - it's not a question of if, but when.

The innkeepers were wonderful and attentive but not invasive to our stay. Breakfasts were amazing, very country comfort fare, beautifully presented.

My wife and I went to stay at Swan Lake for our first anniversary this past September. The hostess was a remarkably warm-hearted lady that was very well informed about the area. We could tell right away that Christine was going to welcome us into her lovely home. The mrs and I are very outdoorsy people and we were quite pleased to find over 100 acres to hike and explore. A beautiful pond and fascintating flora gave us plenty of pleasant study that the Hiawassee area has to offer. Wildlife also paid us a visit, a racoon which ate some hand outs a mere 10 feet from the house. Small animals and some deer were also spotted in this little slice of Appalachian heaven, but what I mostly loved was the fresh mountain air. We stayed in the cottage and although you have to ask for breakfast (costs a little extra) the place was clean to within immaculate standards. We had breakfast the first morning, just to try it out and then after we did, we signed up for every breakfast after that, it was too good to pass up. For a gal from California, Christine sure has grit-making down to an artform. Aside from serving only breakfast, every evening around 7-8pm, she would knock at our door and ask if we'd like some dessert. They weren't just simple snacks, these were full-size gourmet delicacies, which you could tell took a lot of talent to create. After the first night of this, we made sure to be home in time for the treats that she brought us. We are definitely going back next year!!!

We just sat on the porch swing for hours looking at the lake and mountains and enjoying the critters. Peace just washed over us and all stress melted away. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves so we had room, living area, and entire porch. Food was excellent and an extra bonus was the dessert served in the evening. Saw many animals in this very remote location that includes travel by dirt roads to access. A return visit is not out of the question but we seldom visit an area twice.

Set on a beautiful site overlooking the mountains and a lake, this B&B was everything you could want and more; the rooms were imaculate and stocked with everything that you could possibly want or need. The food was gourmet quality and WONDERFUL! We had a most relaxing and enjoyable visit and plan to return, and will highly reccomend Swan Lake!

We have stayed with Christine and Eric twice now and it is definitely a must repeat experience! They are truly wonderful - they know just how to give the right level of service, with such "Southern politeness", but never intrusive - so you can enjoy both your privace and the peaceful beauty & solitude of this exquisite location. Five Stars!

This was our firt experience at a B&B and it waseven more than we had hoped for .Christine made us feel very comfortable. The Breakfast and Deserts were great. Looking foward to another visit.
