Dans le style de la région, les propriétaires ont fait tout son possible pour garder l'esprit initial de l'édifice de la ferme et ils espèrent pour vous aider à profiter d'un séjour restful, Pacifique mais exaltant dans cette maison confortable et agréable au milieu d'un paysage boisé et sauvage. Situé à seulement 30 minutes du Saint Etienne et à une heure de Lyon, vous entrerez environnement très français et authentique, mais fourni avec tous les équipements modernes : plat écran TV et lecteur DVD dans chaque chambres, toilettes privées et salles de bains, accès Internet et meubles nice. Agnes fera de son mieux pour vous faire découvrir les déjeuners français typiques et plats régionaux pour le dîner si souhaité. La maison est au milieu d'une grande Cour, où vous apprécierez animaux domestiques des propriétaires (chats, chiens, poulets, canards, chèvres...) Et les deux propriétaires parlent anglais !

This is a gem of a B & B in a quiet hamlet. It has recently been tastefully renovated and is immaculate. The gardens are lovely and well kept. Agnes is a delightfully personable woman who chatted with us and made us feel right at home. She went over and above our expectations with all the information and help she provided. We didn't dine at the B & B but given the service we received, I'm sure it would be a great experience. I heartily recommend this charming B & B for a pleasurable stay. We were amazed at the warm and friendly amosphere at this place, and very much enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts, Agnes and Francois. We would come again in a heartbeat. The home, including the bedroom and the bathroom were done very well and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The food was the best, and all homemade with care. Thank you both, for a very enjoyable stay!

Apart from the delightful surroundings and home itself, what makes this stay extra special is the friendliness and inclusiveness of the innkeepers, Agnès amd François. This is a family home and, whereas there is appropriate private space, you are made to feel part of the household during your stay. The lack of a separate entrance to your quarters could be seen as a disadvantage, but it is fun to come 'home' and walk through the large kitchen and dining room to your own space and, in our experience, Agnès is often found cooking something delicious for the family ... or for guests if they wish to arrange dinner. Opening the shutters in the morning reveals a beautiful garden and potager. In short, a lovely experience of French life with most gracious of hosts.

We booked on the net and really did not know what to expect. Agnes and Francois were the most wonderful hosts - we are still talking about Agnes' nettle soup. We only had an overnight stay We booked an overnight stay at La Desirade on the net, and really did not know what to expect. Agnes & Francois, our hosts, made us feel very welcome. Comment venir à la propriété:
Conduite de Lyon : prendre sur autoroute A7 ou A46 vers Marseille. Juste avant de Givors, obtenir sur autoroute A47, direction St Etienne/Clermont Ferrand. Lors de son arrivée à St Etienne, vous devez continuer le le 88 National vers Le Puy en Velay. Vous êtes sur une route de 2 x 2 voies. Prendre la sortie St Maurice, environ 6-7 kms après son passage par Monistrol s/loire. Passez sous la N88 pour entrer dans le village de St Maurice du Lignon. Gardez avancer tout droit jusqu'à la fin du village. Juste avant de sortir, vous trouverez un parking avec une place sur votre droite. À l'intersection, vous devez aller sur la route de gauche direction Maubourg-Les Yverras-château de Maubourg (une croix acier est montrant l'intersection) Prendre cette route pendant environ 1 km (la route les va vers le bas, puis place dans une zone en bois). Au volant de la forêt, garder faisant baisser pour 200 mètres plus. Au bas de cette descente, vous verrez un groupe de maisons stoned sur votre gauche. Maison de la Désirade est une grande ferme stoned bâtiment avec une porte en bois. Bonne route!!!
