Auberge du vin is a definite "MUST VISIT". What a beautiful villa! The pool area and manicured garden is absolutely picturesque. You are surrounded by lavender, with an endless view of Mont Ventoux and the vineyards. Auberge du vin is perfectly situated between Mazan and Carpentras, you are a quick drive to beautiful little provencal towns such as Gordes, Mazan, Carpentras and Avignon. We stayed within the main home, our room was chic and inviting. Breakfast was just wonderful, sitting under the shade of the wisteria vines being served freshly brewed coffee, french pastries, fresh fruit...it was simply perfect! Linda and Christopher made us feel at home from the moment we made our booking! On arrival we were offered a complimentary glass of wine/beer which was perfect to relax around the swimming pool and unwind. Linda and Chris both have a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding areas and recommended a lovely little restaurant "Le Petite Fontaine" in Carpentras for dinner and even recommended a route for me to run in the vineyards the next morning. We only stayed one night, but both Linda a Chris went out of their way to make us feel at home. They even allowed our two little dogs to join us on our visit. This is the ideal spot to share with a special loved one, family or friends. The villa is aspirational...on our way home my husband and I spoke of how we can save up to afford a villa such as this one day...but until then we will continue to visit Auberge du Vin! We really wish we had stayed longer...and we will definitely go back to share with friends and family.

I can't begin to express how much I have enjoyed my stay here (as I write this I'm actually sat with a glass of wine in hand, looking across at the iconic Mont Ventoux rising majestically in the distance. Vines as far as the eye can see) I have visited before, my friend has a house locally and we have been here for one of Linda's fantastic wine tasting courses. However until this week I have never stayed here. What a treat! Linda and Chris have created such a warm and welcoming B&B. From the very moment you arrive you are made to feel like part of the family. I am staying in one of the rooms in the main house which is finished to the highest standard, with views across the wisteria covered courtyard. Breakfast is served in the courtyard in the morning amid the beautiful smells and sounds of the Provençal countryside. It is so peaceful here, I spent the day sat by the pool, on my own. What a treat although I suspect that, by the feeling of heat emanating from my face, that a little too much sun was had today. If you are planning a trip to this part of Provence then a stay here is simply a must. It makes an excellent base for exploring what the region has to offer, from the beautiful countryside to the most amazing wines.
