"Fabio is a wonderful host and a GREAT person! When I arrived in Rio, I (stupidly) left my bag with all my money, cards and passport on the airport and to make this very long story short, I got EVERYTHING back at 2am! Fabio was there every step of the way; he was the one running around and taking care of me the WHOLE time. He is caring, perceptive, very calm with positive attitude in times of crisis and very very good with people. Just before 3am, I finally got to Fabio's apartment. It is very elegant and the layout is extremely functional. The bed is large and comfortable and I love the rainforest shower. The location is brilliant, 5 min. walk to the metro and all the buses (including the airport bus) are right in front of building. A number of super markets and restaurants within 100 meters and a very large shopping mall just 10 min. walk through the tunnel (It was very safe to walk). I had such a wonderful stay with Fabio. Knowing I was in town by myself and had my birthday on Easter Sunday, he took me out for a birthday brunch in a very lovely historical building in a forest park with a view of the Christ statue; then he gave me a tour of the Zona Sul on the bike. In the evening he took me to a great local music venue and he taught me to dance Samba too. :) This was one of my best birthdays!! Fabio is a person with great taste in the finer things in life. He loves and knows art, food, all the nice places and is a great shopping companion too! If you are looking for a place to stay in Rio and a local host you can trust, please do stay with Fabio! "
