"We were passing trough as a part of a complete tour around Scotland. We've seen 7 different accomodations, which were all very satisfying. But this B&B just won the "sprint" in every imaginary way. First the location: idyllic! And many interesting things to see and to do in the neighbourhood. Than the B&B itself; this is way beyond words... every imaginary detail is so well engineered, it is simply perfect! Spotless rooms (with a "surpise" in nearly every drawer) with welcoming personal letter; inviting bathrooms; a superb livingroom with fireplace and everything you can imagine to make it your home! All of this to your disposal with separate entry and lovely garden. It's a whole house you're getting!!! The hosts are so friendly and have excellent sense of humor! And to top it all, the breakfast was the most fresh and tasty we've seen over the whole country. Full cooperation is provided to choose a nice restaurant in the surroundings and telephone call is made for you to make reservations. Upon arrival your spoiled with coffee or tea with home backed pastries! Unimaginable! This is high class and highly recommendable; price is avarage, but excellent value for what you get!!! We will be coming back to explore Dumfries in detail; with an expanded stay in the Barr Farmhouse! That's for sure!!! Way to go Roy & Orla!
