    Only 4-diamond AAA B&B within hours of Palm Beach

    It is a rare B&B that earns four diamonds from AAA. In fact, within a 3-hr drive of Palm Beach, the only B&B that has this distinction is the Sabal Palm in Lake Worth. It takes only a few minutes inside the parlor with the hosts, Coleen and John, and a quick scan of the setting to see that their inn is head and shoulders the competition. They are world-traveling foodies who know their way around the kitchen, preparing luxury breakfasts and baking incredible treats for afternoon tea or dessert time. It only took an inquiry from us about the preparation of one of Coleen’s tortes before a printed recipe appeared for us. We stayed in the spacious and exceptionally appointed Renoir suite and enjoyed the chocolates placed on our pillows while we were having dinner as well as evening nightcaps on our private balcony overlooking the charming courtyard below prior before a relaxing soak in the Jacuzzi tub. Amazingly for a home that was built in the 1930’s, the rooms were remarkably sound proofed. We never even heard the other guests enter or leave their rooms. John and Coleen seem to have eaten at every restaurant within a 20 mile radius and, if asked, will offer suggestions that match the guests’ appetites – and will make reservations as well. Although the inn is on a quiet residential street, at least a dozen nice restaurants are within walking distance. (We found out the hard way, however, that if our hosts were noncommittal about a restaurant, caveat emptor.) The overall experience here, including the amenities provided, the gracious personal attention and the overall ambiance, makes us think of the Sabal Palm as a miniaturize version of The Ritz Carlton or The Four Seasons.

    Not quite like at home...

    ... but very close ;-) Thoughtful and helpful hosts - even at odd hours. Very pleasant premises in decent neighborhood: A house and home reflectling a broad cultural horizon. Cozy rooms with both useful and enjoyable details, an inviting private balcony overlooking a lush yard. Good, home-made southern food. Definitely: More than to be expected!

    Don and I recently stayed with John and Colleen at the Sabal Palm Inn and were greeted warmly after not having seen them for 8 years-we now live near the Inn and are delighted to spend special occasion weekends here. The charm and decor of the Inn make it especially welcoming and relaxing as does the ease of conversation with John and Colleen. We are looking forward to staying again very soon!.

    What a wonderful B&B. Beautifully decorated - very inviting - very clean rooms. We stayed in the Rockwell Room. We stayed here with several family members and we all loved our rooms. The breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon desserts were so good we passed up dessert at the restaurants to come back to the B&B and have cookies and cake. John and Colleen - the owers - were delightful and full of information. Would definitely stay here again.

La zone de chambre privée a soit un roi lit ou deux lits jumeaux avec salle de bain privée et grande douche. Il s'agit de notre salle convivial uniquement pour animaux de compagnie.     Warm, friendly and delicious

    The attention to detail and the warm, friendly atmosphere made for a wonderful stay. The entire property is immaculate and Colleen and John are welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts and the afternoon snacks were all delicious. I would highly recommend the Sabal Palm House and look forward to a return visit!

    Colleen and John Make You Feel Like Family

    Colleen, John and their scottish terrier make you feel like you are at home from the moment you step into the Sabal Palm House. I could not have asked for better innkeepers. From Colleen willingly sharing the recipe for her Magic Mango Bread to the comfort of the rooms and size of the jacuzzi, I was able to completely relax. I look forward to this place becoming my stateside oasis.

    Wonderful Stay

    I had a wonderful time at the Sabal Palm House last evening. I stayed in the Renoir Suite and it was perfect. The king size bed was amazing and the two room suite was so beautiful and relaxing. Thanks so much for making my stay so enjoyable and allowing me to unwind in your lovely home. The breakfast, pear bread and pecan muffins were delicious too! I highly recommend the Sabal Palm House.     A Perfect Stay

    I felt at home immediately in this gem of an inn. My room was comfortable and everything was sparkling clean. The innkeepers went out of their way to be helpful. I had forgotten my contact supplies and arrived late enough that I didn't want to go out again, and they cheerfully loaned me supplies they had on hand to save me a trip. Breakfast the next morning on the porch, overlooking the lush tropical courtyard, was delicious, too. I will definitely return whenever I am in the area again.
