Casa Thorn

My husband and I stayed in the Secret Garden room for our honeymoon in July 2010. It was simply amazing! The room was beautiful and clean, the grounds are so lovely, the breakfasts were delicious! They are so friendly and helpful in giving suggestions for dining, sightseeing, and even loaned us their snorkel masks! We hope to return soon!

Tropical garden oasis designed to exceed the imagination! Pool, garden, quiet, food and comfort at your finger tips. We knew when the camel greeted us at the entrance that a spectacular adventure awaited us! Be sure to kiss the pig for luck before going fishing. Founders Park was a lovely beach just around the corner.

We stayed at CasaThorn for five days while finishing our open water dive certification. Nice people, good food and beautiful garden! We look forward to our next trip to Islamorada!

This was our first stay in a Bed and Breakfast. It was the most amazing experience we ever had. Not only was it a beautiful tropical setting, it was impeccably clean and the service was beyond compare. Ms Thorn, Cathy and Brian are the sort of people you would want in your life everyday. They did everything they could to make our short stay as special as possible. Our only regret was ,of course, that we couldn't stay longer. Like the rest of our lives. LOL. Kathy is a wonderful cook and every breakfast was fresh and hot and very filling. How ever I would Love to see Brian in a White Tuxedo as he serves breakfast. HeHeHe!! His smiling face certainly made the marvelous taste of each unique breakfast even better. The only problem we found with Casa Thorn, was that is was so very hard to leave and get out to see the rest of the beautiful sights of the Keys. I will return some day and certainly recommend any one visit, but plan to stay as long as you can, because you will certainly regret leaving and having to stay in a cold hearted, drab hotel elsewhere.

My Husband & I just spent 2 nights here. What a refreshing experience: unique decor,quiet and inviting, with breakfast being served on our secluded patio amidst tropical flora & soothing waterfall. The staff is cordial & accommodating. I hope there's a vacancy for our next trip to the Keys.

Casa Thorn was a totally unique and fun experience, contrasting significantly from the blandness of a hotel chain accommodation. Set back in a lush tropical setting, a good distance from the rush of highway US 1 traffic, you instantly feel the almost motionless tranquility as soon as you step over the threshold. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the fascinating decor of the grounds and rooms. Ms. Thorn, the owner, was the ultimate hostess, ensuring that we were comfortable and well taken care of by her staff. We both very much enjoyed our stay and will do it again at our first opportunity. If you're looking for a romantic getaway for some special occasion, we would highly recommend Casa Thorn.
