This was the PERFECT bed and breakfast! It's in a GREAT quiet neighborhood on the water, but close to everything you may need (shops, beaches, restaurants). Matlacha is a small quaint and absolutely beautiful little island where the people all know each other and are very friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean, spacious, and OH THE VIEW!!!! Amazing sunsets!! We even stayed in room upstairs where you could see the sun come up in the morning from one window and then you can see it set at night from your porch/balcony. It's really beautiful. The hosts are GREAT - extremely helpful and provided us with everything we needed. They even gave us a ride when we had car trouble. The Inn's canoes are available anytime you want and the manatees, dolphins, and osprey's are a sight to see. All in all a delight!!!

I just got back from my little getaway in Matlacha. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay at! Bayview B&B in Matlacha truly is a gem!! The pictures posted on the inn's website are true to how the inn really looks....quaint, cozy, cute, peaceful, and nature surrounding! It has so much to offer & the rates for all it has to offer make it very affordable. I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend (and wish we stayed longer!). The moment we arrived, we knew we made a great choice in selecting this inn. Diane & Bill were so kind and welcoming! They gave us great recommendations on places nearby to visit. The room was spacious, and the balcony view is just so gorgeous! Everyday we spent some time on the balcony admiring the pretty, peaceful scenery. There is so much nature to see. At breakfast on the deck, we saw manatee & dolphin! We took the canoe out & a dolphin was swimming about 30 feet from us! We also fished off the dock, and the fish were plentiful. I can't wait to return to this inn in the cooler months, when I'm told, more manatee hang around the inn! If you are at all in the SW area of FL, this B&B is a must to stay at! Aside from all the beautiful views and sunsets that we saw while we stayed here, we love to watch birds . One morning as we opened our blinds we saw an osprey eating a freshly caught fish right on our deck. What a thrill that was. We watched her for 15 minutes till she flew up into her nest 40 ft away. We will return again. What a great spot.

Had a great 5 days at the Inn. To our surprise everything on their website was true. Especially enjoyed watching the Osprey, Dolphins and Manatee as we ate breakdast on our deck, yes we will miss the Inn and the little crafts shops in Matlacha, but will return asap.

Enjoyed our two days at he Inn on the Bay. Wish we could have stayed longer as we found it peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were so helpful and gave suggestions of places we might enjoy in the area. We are planning on returning to the area again and will look forward to spending time at the Inn.

We needed a quick getaway from life and found it at Bayview B&B. The view of Charlotte Harbor from our balcony was wonderful .Our beachy condo room was quite comfortable and very clean. We like to fish and totally enjoyed the nicely kept lighted docks. Bill and Diane shared their home grown papaya and fresh pineapple with us for breakfast. They also gave us great recommendations for local shopping and dining.
