The room was spacious and nicely decorated and perfect for a romantic getaway. The location was within walking distance to St. George Street. The restaurant was OUTSTANDING! Very quaint and the food was delicious.

Very pleasant stay. Quiet and close to everything. One evening we enjoyed a 'Ghost Tour Lecture' in the rear garden...none of the ghosts discussed appeared during our stay.

with a few updates it could be fabulous. The entrance way needs some sprucing up and the gazebo tent on the "sundeck" is worn and tattered, a few plants and perhaps some little twinkle lights would really pretty it up, make it much more inviting. The bedroom we had was the Cordova and it was lovely, the bathroom needs updating and a fresh coat of paint. All in all very good value for the money. The meals were incredible! Compliments to the chef.

Everything about the Inn was perfect. Location, comfort, friendliness, and the awesome breakfasts topped it off. It would be hard to find a better B&B. We loved our stay.

Old City House is a lovely inn, great location in the middle of anywhere you want to get to, rooms are lovely and the breakfasts are exceptional. The service because it runs more like a b&b is spotty. A few times we tried to find someone to help us and couldn't find them and calling them only put us straight to voice mail. The bathrooms could be updated as they look a rather worn and if I am going to be honest, dirt in the corners of the floor, drip marks on the cabinets and wear marks on the door around the handles make it look tired. My advice? Go in there with a bucket of paint and give everything a clean coat of white...including the cabinets...everything. Then put a white granite countertop on the vanity and it will look transformed. (This is what they did in The Colony Hotel in Delray Beach and it looked amazing and sparkling clean.) They have an upstairs balcony/sitting area that if updated would be a magical little retreat to have a cocktail and mingle with other guests. The canopy is worn and torn and it needs some updated decor to make that spot look really special for not much money. Some twinkle lights would be great too as it is quite dark.) The entrance way has beautiful wrought iron details but it's really dirty. The front patio and breezeway need to be swept and washed down regularly too as they looked dirty as well. First impressions count! With a few improvements this inn would be over the top, however, don't let this deter you from staying here. They rooms are really pretty, beds comfy and the restaurant...well we had most of our meals there. Fabulous, our compliments to the chef.

The place is beautiful, staff was wonderful & polite, breakfast outstanding, room was a little small but very clean. However, the bed mattress was a cheap spring mattress and was very uncomfortable to sleep in. In fact my wife woke up at 2 in the morning and asked if we could go home. Very disappointing for such and beautiful place. A good nights sleep is mandatory! If all the rooms have this type of mattress I suggest a change to Beauty Rest mattress for all rooms. Also a block out curtain should be used to cut nighttime light from filtering into the room & keeping you up.

We stayed in the Alczar Room that has a private entrance. The room was fine, but you back up to the Casa Monica Hotel back entrance and on Saturday morning it was a little loud. The restaurant was worth eating at even if you do not stay there. I would go back.
