"My husband and I along with our friends stayed at the Hill House for one night Thanksgiving weekend as we set to finish the Bourban Trail. The house looks new from the outside but has 'old time' charm/furnishings on the inside with very nice updated features. The inn keeper Terri and owner Lisa could not have been more welcoming and instantly put our party at ease. You won't find a better breakfast in town (or anyplace) - served when you want it and presented beautifully; in addition to being provided with the family recipe for apple dumplings! Complimentary wine and cheese and an invitation to help yourself to anything in the fridge really made you feel at home. Only comment would be is it is a bit out of town, but a very nice short scenic drive to Bardstown and minutes from Maker's Mark. If your here for either you can't beat it. Only word of caution is if you want a shower the Oak Room provides a beautiful luxury bath only. Thank you for a very nice stay. We will recommend to our friends and be back if visiting the area again. 5 stars. Cathy-John"
