    Glencree is a beautiful Lakeland stone licensed guest house cum Hotel perfectly situated midway between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Offering excellent bed and breakfast facilities all year round. It is backed by woodland overlooks a pretty brook and lies within an easy ten minutes walking distance of the famous Lake Windermere. The ideal place for a break from your daily routine. If you don't know where to stay please try us it's not that other hotels in the Lake District aren't friendly but we pride ourselves on our home-from-home atmosphere. Perfect in so many respects Glencree is just minutes away from village shops pubs bars and restaurants. The Windermere Golf Club is just a few miles away and there is an abundance of museums country houses gardens lakes fells walks and countryside to explore. For sport enthusiasts this is the home of water sports pony trekking hot air ballooning to name but a few and we shall be more than happy to arrange any activities for you. Delicious traditional English breakfasts are prepared from high quality local produce. Vegetarian meals can be arranged and any special dietary needs may be catered for. And for those special occasions champagne and flowers can be requested prior to your arrival.
