Equidistant between the market town of Honiton and Regency Sidmouth the Sid Valley Country Hotel is at the centre of an 'area of outstanding natural beauty'. Walkers are in seventh heaven in this area with the coastal path beckoning to the south and a network of public footpaths through meadows along riverbanks and across moorland. The Rivers Sid Otter and Axe offer excellent fishing with plenty seashore and boat fishing available. As well as the many local walks in addition there is cycling fishing and horse riding at nearby stables. And for golfers there are a number of superb courses close by with reduced green fees for hotel guests at Sidmouth Golf Club. The East Devon Coast has recently been awarded World Heritage status. We are well placed for many National Trust properties the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The Sid Valley Country Hotel is ideally placed for you to enjoy all that Devon has to offer. Sidmouth with its level streets and promenade and pretty shops is just a few miles away. A little further brings you to the old smuggling village of Beer with its Pecorama model railway or to Seaton for the electric Tramway. The Cathedral City of Exeter is just 20 minutes away with fantastic shopping and cafe culture.
