"I had to plan a wedding from out of town. From the moment I started working with the staff (Angie) at Madewood I knew everything was going to be okay. Angie kept in touch with me throughout all preparations. She offered great suggestions on vendors within the area and even got in touch with them to do all arrangements needed. Up to the day of the wedding, Angie and all the staff were great to be around. I felt as though they were part of the family. As for the stay at Madewood, I could not believe how beautiful it was. I had to tell Angie how the website does not do justice for the plantation. Everything was amazing and well kept. The rooms were gorgeous as well as the grounds. We had the entire plantation to ourselves which was also truly amazing. We were able to experience so much history while being in such a relaxed environment before the wedding. We met Mr. Marshall who also had a lot to offer. Listening to him gave us more of an insight on the plantation. His family did a great job on restoring the plantation. On the day of the ceremony, the staff at Madewood did an excellent job. The attention the suggestions and attention they provided was outstanding. If I had to do it again, I would call on the staff of Madewood and all the vendors they recommended. I do need to say it was said leaving there. I actually missed the attention of the staff and the peaceful surroundings of the plantation. When I go back to New Orleans, Madewood is the place I will be staying. Who cares if I have to drive to the City, I WANT TO BE AT MADEWOOD. Thanks Angie, Mr. Marshall, and the entire staff."
