La maison 1870 Second Empire est situé sur le dernier non-commerciale rue principale historique dans le Connecticut. Il offre deux suites et une chambre à coucher, toutes avec salle de bain privée. La propriété dispose de 8 hectares de terrain et une piscine. Caroline, originaire de Suffield, et son mari, Etienne, originaire de Belgique, ouvrez Spencer On Main en Septembre 2004. Ils se sont installés à Suffield, en 1986, après un voyage à travers le monde depuis 15 ans. Ils ont toujours voulu ouvrir un B & B qui a été différent de celui du nombre qu'ils ont visités. Les clients de Spencer On Main profiter de la fraîche odeur de fin lin, le confort des lits à baldaquin et la convivialité de la peignoirs moelleux. Pour assurer la confidentialité, chaque chambre a la télévision par câble, lecteur DVD / magnétoscope, chaîne stéréo, Wi-FI et la climatisation centrale. Sur demande, le café au début ou thé dans les chambres avec le journal des clients préférés. Les petits déjeuners au Spencer On Main sont préparés à la commande et le mélange de la Belgique et les recettes traditionnelles américaines. La propriété est idéalement situé entre Hartford CT et Springfield Massachusetts. Ramassage gratuit est disponible de et vers l'aéroport international Bradley et Windsor Locks gare Amtrak.

We were so fortunate to find this B and B. On-line it looked amazing. The real-thing surpassed our expectations. Beautiful house. Caroline and Etienne are wonderfully gracious, interesting, and warm inn-keepers. We three sisters held our reunion in Delices De La Nuit suite. I cannot imagine a more lovely place for a relaxed evening. Spacious, beautifully appointed room. This is a place for a very special stay. Merci beaucoup!

My husband and I stayed here on a weekend get away to see the fall colors and it turned into an experience far better than what we ever expected. Us Phoenicians were enchanted by the history and charm of the house, so different than what we normally experience. The rooms were impecable and comfortable. and Etienne and Caroline were the most gracious and thoughtful hosts. Being far away from home they gave us some recomendations of places to visit that became highlights of our trip. The breakfast was five star and I couldn't get enough of the home made apple cider. They really made us feel special. I'm writing this review late but I haven't forgotten the expeience. Thank you!

This is the first time my husband and I stayed at a Bed And Breakfast, and let me say we hit the jackpot. This home is gorgeous. We stayed for only one night, but wished we had booked the whole weekend. The entire home has so much family history and the extensive library is a must see. We stayed in the Delices De La Nuit room and it was clean, cozy and spacious. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and Etienne told us the story of the home over breakfast. Truly you will not be disappointed if you stay here. Promise!! We will again but longer next time.

We stayed at SOM for our Wedding/Honeymoon. Etienne picked us up from and took us to the airport. Also, he drove us to town hall to take care of our marriage license. The breakfast was phenomenal and so were the amenities and hosts. Everyone in this town is so friendly. We've got nothing on them in Texas with our supposed "souther hospitality". What made this occasion and our stay truly unique was our Wedding Ceremony. Private, intimate, sweet. Etienne helped arrange the ceremoney with a good friend and former town JP. We felt as though we had family with us. Caroline and Etienne were there to support and witness while their lovely daughter and her boyfriend took photos and played music. After, we all sat to enjoy a toast of champagne, good conversation snd just enjoyed the moment. It is true that Caroline and Etienne make their guests feel like old friends, which I've read countless times over, both here and on another site. Meals were great. I do not drink caffeine so Etienne made sure to provide me a variety of decaf teas from which to choose. My favorite was the Ham, Egg and Cheese Crepe and the amazing Strawberry/Banana smoothie. Also, I was a big fan of the fresh cut cheese and croissants and bread with rose shaped butter each morning. Etienne provided EXCELLENT suggestions for attractions and restaurants. I'm sure he would prefer we took more of his advice and got out more but that's just more of a reason to visit again! We will be back!

This twin bedroom is located on the first floor. It has a marble fireplace with pillar candles and is decorated with antiques. Amenities include TV, DVD player, and Sound system. The private bathroom has a large antique bathtub with a handheld shower to wash hair, a large antique sink, plush bathrobes, and hair dryer.

I stayed 1 night at Spencer on Main in Suffield on 11/8/11. Etienne was there to greet me and made me feel welcome. My suite, and I do mean suite, was upstairs, and included a large bedroom, bath and living room lined with book shelves. Definitely a 4-star experience all the way around. The bed has a memory foam mattress that is the most comfortable I've ever experienced at a hotel or B&B. Breakfast included fruit, cheese, juice, breads and a savory crepe served by Etienne and Caroline. An outstanding stay in every way!

Spencer on Main is a lovingly restored, Victorian home filled with antiques but nevertheless very warm and welcoming. We stayed for 8 Nights in Aunt Clara’s room which was on the ground floor. The room was beautifully decorated comfortable and the bathroom had a huge tub. The delicious breakfasts were served in the dining room with orange juice, fresh fruit, croissants, French toast, super coffee and great conversation. Etienne and Caroline made us feel like family friends and I am sure that every other guest feels the same. We were invited to help ourselves to beer or wine from the fridge and Belgian chocolates were lft on our pillows. Etienne gave us great information about local restaurants and all the local attractions. We cannot recommend Spencer on Main highly enough.

We stay at Spencer on Main at least 4 times a year. It is our home away from home. Caroline & Etienne are superb hosts, kind and extremely welcoming. Their home is extraordinary, with beautiful antiques, comfortable beds, glorious gardens and very conveniently placed in pretty Suffield. The breakfasts are a wonderful occasion and we all look forward to Etienne's blend of aromatic coffee (the best we have had in the USA) every morning. We cannot praise Spencer on Main too highly.

We enjoyed out 2 nights stay at Spencer on Main. Our room was spotless and the host & hostess were very accommodating and helpful. We stayed in Aunt Clara’s room which was much roomier than anticipated, had a little inconvenience with not having a full shower but we were aware of this when we reserved this room. The breakfast and service was outstanding and we will certainly stay at this inn in the future. We highly recommend Spencer on Main. Mike & Rose Higgins
