My daughter & I came home for one of her bridal showers & found The Old Mill Inn by chance, & what a blessing it was! Dennis & Fran are two of the most wonderful, caring, loving, interesting, & friendly innkeepers I have ever come across. The evenings that Fran works, Dennis made sure that we were not w/out anything & we loved talking w/him as he is quite the eclectic man who has a zeal for life; a passion for flying either real planes, BIG (4 ft+) model planes, or guiding them on his computer; & has so many interesting stories to share. And he makes a mean breakfast! Fran is one of the sweetest, hardworking, lovable, & awesome cooks that I have ever met! She made sure she always had her wonderful homemade hazelnut biscotti waiting for us at breakfast. And her breakfasts? Mama mia! Her french toast made with her homemade cinnamon raisin bread was out of this world. Every breakfast was accompanied by custom blended coffee, choice of juice, fresh fruit cup, & some type of delicious entree inc. the french toast, omelettes, scrambled eggs or Belgian waffles in a warm strawberry sauce. Dennis would always come & talk with us after we finished our breakfasts & we always ended up having a very enjoyable long conversation w/ him.
We stayed in the Connecticut Room which is a very homey room w/ a king size bed w/ a firm mattress, beautiful bed coverings & plenty of lighting at night to read my Kindle!
Looking for a great place where you can meander around & look at all the wonderful antiques, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast each morning, carry on interesting conversations with awesome people, & still have a comfortable night's sleep? Then you have found the perfect place to stay at The Old Mill Inn!
