    Beau refuge retiré de la maison de Brainerd Nehemiah derrière un stand de grands pins, le chalet de Laurel a été restauré et élargi pour inclure une cuisine complète, salle de bains avec double pedestal baignoire et d'une douche de grande station de métro en mosaïque. Un lit confortable en laiton double dans la grande salle et une extraction luxueuse à la Reine lit sur la saison tous porche accueille quatre confortablement et deux magnifiquement. Et les opinions des fenêtres portique sur le fleuve Connecticut sont spectaculaires en toute saison.

    La maison de Brainerd Nehemiah et Laurel Cottage guest house sont situés dans le quartier historique de Haddam sur cinq hectares sur une falaise au-dessus de la rivière du Connecticut. Situé à seulement cinq minutes de l'Opéra historique de Goodspeed, stocke une courte distance de Gillette Château State Park, le train à vapeur Essex, l'historique de la ville d'Essex et de moins d'une heure dans les CASINOS LARGEST dans le monde, ainsi que d'un certain nombre de prise de classe mondiale. Il n'y a pas de fin pour le shopping, attractions, antiquités, gastronomie et touristique. Fermer à HARTFORD, NEW HAVEN, OLD SAYBROOK, MIDDLETOWN et un lecteur très court pour MYSTIQUE avec son aquarium et le port historique. Centré entre New York et de Boston et accessible par le train via la gare de vieux Saybrook.

    A VERY BEAUTIFUL PLACE

    We recently had a wonderful trip to Middletown, Ct. and stayed at this gorgeous B&B. Our hosts were wonderful, helpful, informative and most enjoyable. Our room was beautiful as the rest of the house and the surrounding property as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

    A truly perfect weekend.

    Let me preface my review by noting that my husband and I have limited experience with B&B stays as our children are only recently out of our travel picture. That said, I'm afraid that innkeepers Maryan and Jeff Muthersbaugh have raised the bar by providing the quintessential Bed and Breakfast experience. Not only is the house meticulously restored and beautifully decorated but the service was outstanding, with Maryan and Jeff gracefully balancing a warm welcome with the impression that the house and its amenities were ours to enjoy for the weekend. They made themselves available as we needed, providing directions and information on local interests, and disappearing in between. While our experience on Saturday evening may be indicative of our innkeepers hosting abilities, it probably isn’t typical. We returned to the inn at 9:30 PM, with snow falling and the windows lit. The time is significant only in that our hosts were on hand to greet us, introducing us to the new guests and offering to light a fire in the living room fireplace if we wanted to stay up. Around the grand piano in the back corner of the room, our new housemates entertained us with music and song. We added wine and our voices and the eight of us visited until 1 AM. I’m sure this isn’t standard fare, but the Muthersbaughs do provide an atmosphere conducive to a serendipitous evening.

    Sisters' Great Getaway

    Two forty-something sisters enjoyed an extended overnight stay at Laurel Cottage. Innkeepers Muthersbaugh, whose care and attention to detail account for every amenity and modern convenience while providing privacy and outstanding accomodations. From reading on the sunny patio, to a walk in nearby Haddam Meadows, a relaxing afternoon by the no-maintenance fireplace and a bubble bath and fabulous shower experience, Maryan and Jeffry know what first class service is about. I can't wait to spread the word and to go back! PERFECT 10.

    Planned to stay one night, extended it to three. Beaurifully restored home and grounds. Our room, Library Suite was lovely and spacious. Jeff and Maryan were helpful and gracious hosts with great senses of humor! Very relaxing stay, wonderful breakfasts, we will be back, much to see and do. Ray and Linda Goetz, Fripp Island, SC

    I wanted to take a minute to share with those who might take the time to read reviews from those of us who have been to the Nehemiah Brainerd House. My wife and have stayed many, many times in all sorts of B&B across the country and in Europe as well. I have to tell you that we have never been so comfortable and treated with such care and consideration. The Cottage was much more than we ever anticipated and the attention to detail and service was such that would beckon our return time and time again.
