Our stay at Flagstone Meadows was a highlight of our trip. Harris is a fantastic host. He is very knowledgeable of the area, culture and events. He went out of his way to make us comfortable. The breakfasts were to die for. He is a cook extraordinaire! We will definitely be back, hopefully we can catch one of his chuck wagon dinners.

We stayed here as a base to see the Mesa Verde and loved it. Lovely house and room, brilliant and entertaining breakfasts and such a very interesting and interested host. We would not hesitate to stay there again and highly recommend this B&B. We were also lucky with the other guests - fascinating people. Make sure you see, (and hear), the humming birds.

We spent our third time (June 7 to 11, 2012) with Harris at Flagstone Meadows. Flagstone is the only B&B we go back to of all the B&Bs we stayed at. Harris has become our friend and is a true patriot, giving discounts to both active and retired military. This trip my husband and I spent it casually, attended the Ute Mountain Rodeo in Cortez (Harris went the first night with us), and had some quality time with Harris. Breakfasts are the best. We are truly amazed that Harris does everything by himself. We cannot wait for our next trip to Flagstone and spending time with our friend, Harris. Aneta & Tom Giltner

We cannot tell you how nice and warm and interesting is Harris. We had wonderful conversations starting with his joining all us for breakfast which was excellent. He is a gentleman and patriot and we are so pleased to have made his acquintance. A beautiful home that feels like home with a graciousness one does not often find. We'll be back!

Our family stayed three nights Spring 2011. We had two teenage boys and two adults. It was a fantastic experience. Our boys fondly refer to the owner as Uncle Harris. Both would like to return. Harris is a wonderful host. The breakfasts, the wild turkeys, the birds , the flowers, the hiking path, the game area, the whole atmosphere was fabulous. We looked forward to returning at the end of a day seeing the sites. Harris is very knowledgeable about everything going on in the area. Everything is immaculate.. We highly recommend the experience

My wife and I enjoyed a three-day, two-night stay at the Flagstone Meadows this last week. We're already looking forward to our next stay here! If you're looking for a wonderful B&B in Southwestern CO, you will have a pleasant stay at Flagstone Meadows Ranch. Inside you'll find clean and well-appointed facilities, an innkeeper who is a real 'people' person, not to mention great cook! Sumptuous breakfasts! Outside, you'll find several wild turkeys and magpies who come around for breakfast leftovers, wide-open meadows and mountain views; cool, clear mountain breezes, and no road noise. What a wonderful place for a retreat!

Harris really knows how to take care of his guests. The atmosphere and hospitality are the best. Breakfasts are the greatest. Our 2nd time here. Will go back.

Five Stars are not enough to really rate Flagstone Meadows Ranch B&B. We planned our tour West by booking Bed and Breakfast sites along the way. We've stayed at many B&B's throughout the years and Flagstone Meadows stands out at the top. We arrived and met a stranger, Harris Court the B&B Host, but left a friend when it was time to go on. Harris made our stay very enjoyable. He is an excellent breakfast cook, and had a special after dinner snack for us each night. The atmosphere and scenery of this B&B is unmatched, and Harris as a host cannot be beat. If you want to see stars, animal life, and have a private time or visit with Harris and other guest, it's all possible at Flagstone Meadows Ranch. The closeness to Mesa Verde, Durango, and other sites makes Flagstone Meadows a plus for day trips. We had a wonderful experience staying there and have relived the experience many times and wish it was not so far from us. We would stay there again without any reservations.

What a place to stay! Harris is a great host - very knowledgeable about the area and many other subjects, too. It is about 2 miles on a dirt road off the highway. You don't hear the traffic noise. We had a view of Mesa Verde from our private deck on the main floor. Harris had 20 guests when we were there. He remembers all the names and where everyone went that day. He served apple betty for evening dessert with ice cream. The breakfast was blueberry pancakes, bacon, fried egg, fruit plate and orange juice. He saves the breakfast scrapes for the wild turkeys. We saw one but the day before the guests saw 4 at one time. There is a hiking trail through the woods that takes about 15 minutes. The home is beautiful and the experience was wonderful. Wish we had planned more days there. We plan to return in the future.

Harris was a perfect host: personable, charming, knowledgeable about the area and a terrific cook! Our room was beautifully furnished, with a view of Mesa Verde National Park right off our private balcony! We'd love to return someday.

Recently, while visiting Mesa verde National park, we stayed for two nights at Flagstone Meadows Ranch B&B in Mancos. Our stay there was wonderful. We had a view of Mesa Verde from our bedroom window, along with wild turkeys and mule deer as we ate our fantastic breakfasts. We were also treated to tasty desserts by a massive stone fireplace each evening along with great conversation with our extremely interesting, knowledgeable Navajo host, Harris. In addition, we were also able to walk the trails of the ranch which we loved. We wish that we could have stayed longer. We have stayed in B&B's in many different countries . Flagstone rates as one of the best that we have stayed in. We highly recommend this B&B.

We spent two glorious days with Harris at FMR and were truly sorry that we did not stay for longer. Accommodation: our room, Sleeping Indian, and the entire ranch was meticulously clean. You have everything that you need and the showers were good too! One thing that visitors might not like about our room is that the sink is in the bedroom, not the bathroom. We didn’t mind this at all though – means one can brush teeth while the other is using the toilet! The grounds are breathtaking and there are excellent views all around. You will wake to the sound of wild turkeys rummaging around the garden and see lots of hummingbirds, magpies, etc. while you breakfast. Service: Harris, the owner, is an extremely kind and knowledgeable individual. We followed his advice about where to eat and what to do to the letter and were never disappointed. The breakfasts are to die for, comprising a hot component (sausages, or breakfast burritos, etc.) and a lovely place of fresh fruit. Location: not only is the ranch a wonderful experience in itself but it is an excellent launch point to explore the Mesa Verde National Park and such delights as the Durango-Silverton narrow gauge railway. It was about 10 minutes drive to get to the national park and about 35 minutes from Durango, a charming town with lots of yummy restaurants and art galleries. I’d advise you not to bring a low-to-the-ground sports car to his ranch because it’s a few miles of gravel track to get there though! Honestly, we’re not affiliated AT ALL to FMR - this is a glowing report because my husband and I genuinely loved our time with Harris at FMR. Book it now!

We have stayed in many B&Bs, however, this is by far the best. Harris was an absolutely marvelous, knowledgeable host we have ever had. We learned a lot about the Native American culture from him which helped us truly enjoy the Mesa Verde National Park and the surrounding areas. Our room (Mesa Verde) had spectacular views of Mesa Verde N.P. and the surrounding area. The B&B was so peaceful and we have never ever felt this relaxed at any other B&B. The breakfasts that Harris served were healthy and large. We cannot wait to return to Harris' paradise in the future. Great place to base yourself for a tour of Southwestern Colorado or the Four Corners. We stayed for 5 nights.

We recently stayed three nights at Flagstone Meadows B&B. What a find !! Our host was a wealth of knowledge and helpful information about the area and we were able to experience such beautiful country that most travellers never even know about that come here. Our accomodations were so warm and inviting and every beakfast was beyond "wonderful" and the homemade apple pie and other evening desserts were something to look forward to each day. We have stayed at many B&Bs and Flagstone Meadows is there at the top. We will come back.

We enjoyed our stay. You can tell the Ranch is maintained by a man, so it was a little dusty, but I am picky. Incredibly quiet, amazing views. A nice little jewel of a B&B.

My wife and I recently spent a week at the Flagtone Meadows B&B. We really had no idea what to expect and really what we were going to do when we got there. Our host, Harris, provided us with one of the nicest vacation experiences my wife and I have ever had. He helped us with planning our days, giving local insight on the best bets, served a great variety of wonderful breakfast meals, and one of the most comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. My business takes me to alot of places and this will always be my favorite. If you want to stay in the quiet surroundings of the mountain, and hae quick and easy access to Durango and Cortez and many other sites, this is the palce to stay. I asked myself several times during my stay "Why would I stay any where else"!
