"First and foremost, this location was "off the beaten path" so to speak. Tucked away from the hustle of the main roads. Loved driving down the twisting and turning, back woods to get there. The hospitality was out of this world. Greeted promptly, walked to our suite and everything was explained, right down to the direct tv channel list. We did miss the sunset cruise, however, even though it was about 8:30pm when we checked in, my boyfriend was still able to have a slice of cheesecake (they usually stop serving at 8:00). The room itself was beautiful, large comfy bed that I could spend days in and the bath room was moderate in size. Each room we walked passed (including ours) had a breathtaking view of Lake Douglas and the surrounding mountains. The fog rolling across the lake was magical. Breakfast was hot and more than I could ask for. Coming from the south, we love some biscuits and gravy, they were on point. All of the food was hot and ready to eat. The coffee was fresh and the help was amazing. All in all, the service alone is the main reason why we will be visiting again. Everything else was an added bonus. I felt right at home, and look forward to visiting during the summer to take advantage of water sports (jet skis, boats, etc) they have available. Do yourself a favor, and stay at this fabulous location!! :)"
