We wanted a quick get away to start our two stay vacation from San Diego somewhere close. It was the best we have experienced in a long time. We wanted a nice get away and we can't wait to come back. We were treated like we was welcomed family and not unwanted quest. Breakfeast was the best, the Blue Martini at happy hour was a hoot. My first trip to Palm Springs, my first Martini and can't wait for the return in the spring. Go have fun highly recommended by a B and B travler.
Went for a weekend getaway and was very happy. Service is over and above. Just mention something and they are on it NOW. Mentioned the Tram and within 90 seconds Betty had tickets for us. Breakfast is truly gourmet and filling. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on especially Copley's. Went for some warm weather and pool time and got rain but the staff made the stay wonderful. Don' miss the Blue Martini happy hour. Jake, Betty and Chris are the best.
The Rendezvous is a staple of the Palm Springs community and if you haven't yet stayed, YOU MUST!
From Jake's Yummy breakfasts to Betty and Lea's Frozen Martinis, the hospitality service will knock your socks off and the rooms with all their recent updates and improvements are just divine. You'll want to stay in each one!
Clean and inviting, fun and secluded, the Rendezvous will always be a home away from home for us! Thank you all for making our vacation wonderful.
Palm Springs Rendezvous - Worth a Visit to Palm Springs All by Itself
The Rendezvous was a great discovery for us. Where to begin? Well, you have to begin with the staff. Everyone - Jake, Lea, Betty, Jake's mom - treated us as if they had been waiting all year for us to arrive and they were delighted that we finally made it. A lovely setting. The gourmet breakfast were superb. The blue raspberry martinis and hot hors d'oeuvres at day's end weren't bad either.
My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Rendezvous while attending the Indian Wells tennis tournament. Upon arrival we were greeted by Betty. She sat down with us to view our stay, ask about my vegetarian restrictions and ask us what we wanted to see so she could lead us in the right direction.
We joined the group for happy hour and met Jake who gave us great suggestions for sushi and other places to eat.
We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite which was very comfortable. There is no t.v in the bedroom area which I thought was fine, but my husband was dissappionted. After all it is the Honeymoon Suite, they don't expect us to watch t.v. in bed.
Palm Springs is a fun place to visit. We will be going back and will stay at the Rendezvous!
We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end----a great welcome, treats by the bedside, martinis and appetizers by the pool. The gourmet breakfast each morning was excellent. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, with a beautiful view of the mountains. We absolutely will return!
The homemade breakfasts and exceptional friendly service make this place stand out. Our room was comfortable and adorably decorated to match the inn's theme. But it's the extra service you get from Jake, Betty and Lea that are the treasures of the Rendezvous. They are extremely knowledgeable about restaurants and area activities, and the extra touches of complementary food, martinis, evening treats, bicycles, and stocked mini-refrigerators make this a true gem.
My good friend arranged this trip & I was pleasantly surprised with what came with our stay!! Betty & her daughter, Cris, were delightful! They made our stay so personal! In addition to the nice different themes they have going with their rooms, the other highlights of this bed & breakfast is the happy hour, breakfast & the lovely treats waiting in your room daily. The breakfast is complete with fruits, smoothies & the main entree which definitely lasted you the whole day! I didn't even need to eat til 8p! The treats were made at the premises daily & they were yummy! We are definitely going to be back & is highly recommended to my friends & family!
I found Rendezvous thru a simple web search, and as someone else stated, it stood out from all others. I wish I was the only one who knew about it! It is an older, classic place with the right amount of updated charm (and the perfect theme decor!) to take you from reality to your own personal 'home away from anything'! It was the perfect 3-day weekend - relaxing, quiet. And Jake and Betty are your personal concierge to Palm Springs! They are the best! Oh, wait, no, this place is horrible!! (read above - I want this place all to myself!!) ;)
We had heard about it from a friend, and my husband and I really didn't know what to expect before staying at this B & B. It turned out to be one of our most favorite romantic getaway weekends. The service was amazing, the room charming (we stayed in "stagecoach" room), and food excellent. Not only was the B & B great, but we also used their beach cruiser bikes to take a morning stroll around the city, and it is within walking distance of the award winning Copley's restaurant for dinner. EVERYONE MUST EXPERIENCE THIS B & B!!!!
We were visiting to have a family reunion with my mom’s sisters and cousins. This is the perfect and most exciting place to stay! The whole staff is very friendly and made us feel like family. Jake is the sweetest guy and a fabulous cook! The Silver Screen Room is fantastic! I love all the old movie posters, (& even the silver painted wall! I Think I want to paint my room silver now!) Anyways, everything about this place is fantastic! I cannot wait to come back & stay and try the other themed rooms as well! I am sad to be home today after such a fabulous stay at the most fabulous place! Thanks Jake for helping to make our stay wonderful! Can’t wait to come back!
We found the Rendezvous on the internet and it immediately stood out from the generic chain hotels listed. The minute we walked through the door we felt like family. The staff raise the bar on hospitality to a new level and nothing is too much trouble for them. Jake's breakfasts are a work of art and the Blue Martini and Appetizer Hour makes the perfect end to the day. With only 10 rooms we were able to meet all the fellow guests during our 9 day stay and that added to the experience. The location is only a 15 minute walk from downtown which was a bonus as we didn't have a car most of the time. Our only beef was that we could hear people through the walls in the room beside us. Usually not a problem, but one couple was a bit noisy! Overall a real charmer of a hotel and well worth a visit.
It may sound cliche, but Rendezvous really felt like my home away from home. They made my stay so comfortable that it was difficult to leave the comfort of my room. Their lounge area was open 24/7, so even late at night, we could go into the lounge, grab a microwavable plate, and heat up our leftovers for a midnight snack. We brought our favorite TV series (House MD) to watch on the DVD player, but if you happen to forget, they have a DVD library with multiple shelves of DVDs in the lounge that's accessible 24 hours. Their afternoon delight served hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. We asked for our cocktails virgin, which Jake was able to accommodate. Hors d'oeuvres were grapes, crackers with cheese & lunch meat. They provide so many in-room treats like drinks that are free of charge and desserts like brownies! They have a heated pool, jacuzzi, pool towels, and pool toys! Oh, I miss it already.
What a wonderful time we had! This is not our first time and honestly I lost count! This is the most relaxing place we go to. I feel like I am going home each time I go there! The staff always goes the extra mile to make our stay special. Thanks to Jake, Betty and Gabrielle for a fabulous Valentines weekend! You guys are awesome!
Nice, casual, low-key retro hotel. Everyone there seemed like they were regulars, making for a friendly and happy atmosphere. Food was better than expected, making the hotel an excellent value. We loved the nightly sweets by our bed and ample appetizers at cocktail hour. The room was lovely and clean, and the jacuzzi tub was terrific. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic time at the Rendezvous in Palm Springs! We were wowed by the decor and style of the bed and breakfast - it was so stylish without being over the top - it was obvious a lot of thought was put into each room. The hosts, Betty and Jake, were so helpful and really advised us on the must-do things in Palm Springs complete with setting up our tee time and dinner reservations. On the subject of food, the breakfasts were divine - we were so full that we werent hungry again until it was time for Jake's signature blue martinis and appetizers at 5pm. We also loved the homemade treats left at our bedside each night. I cant say enough about the Rendezvous - we plan to try to return each year!!
At Rendezvous, the innkeepers Jake & Betty thought of everything we needed for a fantastic and relaxing experience. The impeccably styled rooms, dining areas, patios and pools were hip, usable and comfortable. The food was divine & the happy hour was amazing. Will definitely return to stay - can't wait to stay in other rooms!!!
