    Circa 1900. Niché dans la beauté de la Forêt nationale de Shasta, repose ce pays victorien. Cinq acres sereins des pelouses et des forêts de créer un cadre paisible pour ce national enregistré historique Inn. L'intérieur a été restaurée péniblement, et chacun des cinq chambres possède son propre charme individuel. Bains privés sont standard avec certains offrant des salles de bains tourbillon. Petits déjeuners sont un régal, et un menu typique peut inclure une quiche grecque de sarriette, maison de pains et une sélection de fruits frais. Profitez de votre petit déjeuner dans le salon ou sur la véranda en regardant les oiseaux à jouer. Plan de temps pour un massage relaxant, tout en restant à l'auberge.     A very nice stay

    We decided to stop in McCloud en route to an event in Oregon, and are glad we did. The inn is very nice and the service friendly. A nearby hike to waterfalls along the McCloud river was recommended which we thoroughly enjoyed. Freshly made cookies were an unexpected treat on our arrival!

    I'd come back in a heart beat

    We stayed in one of the other B&Bs in McCloud previously, and found this one to be superior in every way. Our hostess was very personable and the breakfast superb. The bathroom was spotless, as was the rest of the building.

    Pretty setting

    We stayed in the President's Room. It was very large and comfortable. Take a drive up the road to Mt. Shasta too. It was a clear day we were there. Innkeeper makes chocolate chip cookies and has them waiting.

    Anniversary Celebration!

    My husband and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary by getting away and staying at this Inn. We loved the beauty of the area and the gorgeous Inn! Our first sight and smell when we walked in were from the the delicious plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies that were there for all the guests! Our room was perfect and we loved relaxing in the whirlpool tub for two right in the bedroom! Not far from the Inn are amazing places to hike and see the breath-taking falls! This was my favorite anniversary celebration by far and we really hope we can go back soon! Thank you Ursula, for taking care of us! PS. We loved the breakfast quiche, yogurt and fruit too!     Cozy, Spacious, and Relaxing B&B

    I stayed at the McCloud River Inn during Memorial day weekend. The room I stayed at The President's Map Room was so cozy, comfortable, and very spacious (even a both room was spacious). Breakfast was delicious each mornings. Fruit with yogurt was served beautifully, and the main plate followed. Coffee, tea, and home-baked cookies are available all day. It took 15 min or so to get City of Shasta, but I enjoyed driving on 89. Scenery was beautiful. Also, there were a lot of places to see and visit in McCloud. Highly recommenced!!

    Wonderful Birthday weekend

    This was my second visit to McCloud River Inn. Despite my disappointment over a last minute dog sledding trip cancellation, my sisters and I had a wonderful time exploring the Shasta region, having a wonderful birthday dinner at Wayside Café and enjoying the hospitality of Ursula and her husband Mike. The full breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, and Ursula allowed us a late checkout while I consoled myself with a pedicure and manicure at a local salon. The cookies in the afternoon are soooo good. The town of McCloud is a friendly place to visit and central to the Ski Park and other area attractions. We are planning to be back for the Christmas season with more of the family to stay at the Inn.

    Greatest Hosts Ever!

    Stopping at the McCloud River Inn was a one-night stay with our intention to make it to Ashland, OR for a matinee the next day. The snow began falling just about check-in time (6PM); we saw a note and keys in the welcome box directing us to our room, but Ursula and Mike hadn't left yet. We had scheduled a meal in Dunsmuir (around 15 miles away) and after quick hello's and their opinion that the road from McCloud to Rte 5 would be navigable without chains so far, we had a great dinner at Cafe Maddelena. Our trip back was uneventful except that the snow covering Rte 89 was not insignificant. We slept hoping the snowfall would stop. It did not, and by daybreak McCloud was a winter wonderland with chains required from McCloud to the freeway and on the freeway well past the Mt Shasta cities heading north. We were served a delicious frittata for breakfast by Ursula and discovered Mike piecing together a set of cables to get us on the road. He mounted them and showed me how to handle them. I offered to pay for the cables and his service and he waved me off. Long story, short....the cables held out through the snowy portion of I-5 headed up across the Siskiyous, and we made our matinee at the Oregon Shakespeare festival with 20 minutes to spare. Next trip we will plan some more leisure time in McCloud, which looked to be a fascinating step into an earlier time and Southern side of Mt. Shasta.
