    «Qui doit le Ritz?» C'est le message sur l'un des nombreux clients remerciement notes qu'une ligne de la réception à l'Auberge de Cinnamon Bear. L'éloge de l'atmosphère amicale B & B de ce village lodge, niché sur la rue principale à côté d'un grand boisé invités. Vous n'avez à sacrifice confort et le style de convivialité, cependant, les chambres au lodge, fonction lits à baldaquin, bains complète et gratuite ODBC. Il existe même un Jacuzzi extérieur. Un petit déjeuner complet et le vin et le fromage sont également inclus. Un endroit convivial et amusant pour séjourner à Mammoth Lakes.

    Nice place to stay for a short holiday

    We stayed at Cinnamon Bear Inn at the end of March for two nights while on a trip through California/Nevada. We were satisfied with the room, everything was clean. Breakfast was very nice, every morning you get a warm breakfast cooked by the owner, a very nice lady. They have a hot tub outside, but we have not used it. There are enough parking places in front of the building. We will use it again if we ever go back to Mammoth.

    Not as Advertised

    Maybe I expected too much for $180 per night. To begin, I would not consider this establishment a B$B in the traditional sense where you can walk down to a cozy common area in your PJs to have coffee in the morning. It consists of two run down motel buildings and a third building where where breakfast is served. One must dress completely and walk a half block through the snow for breakfast. Our room was tired, dingy, and inadequately cleaned (dirty sock under the bed, cigarette pack in nite stand drawer from previous tenants, hair in the bathroom. We expected a higher standard for the price.

    There are really two issues here. First, I'm embarrassed that my staff isn't doing a better job of inspecting rooms before they are rented. There's no excuse even if it's during the busiest time of the year. Second, we are a bed and breakfast as defined by AAA. Most of our guests appreciate outside entry doors, not going down the hall to use the restroom, and...sorry to say, not seeing a bunch of people they don't know in their PJ's. Our rate during the Christmas holidays was on of the lowest in town. Again, I'm sorry we missed this guest's expectation.

    Review of stay during the holiday season

    The managers are very friendly and helpful as with our previous stay. We liked the breakfast and availability of hot drinks in the evening. We also liked the gas fireplace which provided good warmth in the room during very cold weather. However the bathroom needs maintenance. Caulking around tub and tile is in very bad condition. The door of the bathroom lacks sufficient clearance from the floor and water damage has occurred. The bathroom door needs re-painting.
