The B&B is as close to the park as you'll get without staying at one of the touristy in-park lodges. A very scenic 20 minutes to the park gate; beyond that, driving distance depends on where you're going within Yosemite. The valley is about 35 minutes from the gate, tunnel view about 20. I enjoyed the drives a lot. Put together a good playlist, roll down the window & enjoy the scenery. The B&B is beautiful. The bed was REALLY comfortable & the room was big. Very quiet. Private A/C unit. Nice (very clean) private bathroom, good water pressure, nice toiletries – I loved the high quality towels. Turndown service every night, which was really nice to come back to after a full day in the park. Wifi signal was not strong in the bedroom, but worked well in the dining room. My AT&T signal didn't work anywhere in Eastern CA except Yosemite Valley. That being said, it didn't take me long to come to the realization that I went on this trip to unplug & it was nice to actually not have email or voicemail access. Food was incredible. One morning they served Italian sausage & mushroom quiche with hollandaise and grilled asparagus & it was literally the best thing I've ever had for breakfast. Also, don't miss the desserts that are in the dining room every evening. My favorite was a chocolate almond toffee bar. They also offer tea service anytime & wine with dessert each night. I probably could have spent an entire day exploring the property – it's absolutely stunning. For a girl who needed a break from the city, I couldn't get enough of the meadows, horses & the general serenity surrounding the B&B. Sunsets are spectacular from the meadow near the main house. Looking back on my trip, I enjoyed my nightly walks around Yosemite Rose just about as much as I enjoyed the park itself. The experience at Yosemite Rose was so good & so restorative, that I am already planning a return visit next year. If you're going to Yosemite Nat'l Park, stay here.

Stayed in the self-catering cottage and the main house. Both experiences were wonderful. The cottage is set up so two families can have their own spaces while sharing the well-appointed kitchen and comfy sitting room with fireplace. The main house has many thoughtful touches, a music room with player piano, a quiet library, a pool room (aka war room with interesting military memorabilia) and a large dining room with patio attached for use on warmer mornings. There is also a ranch house for larger parties. Yosemite Rose is part of a working ranch and the whole family is involved in aspects of the business. Katherine and Donald are wonderful hosts, as are the rest of the family. The location is perfect for Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy.

We stayed at the Yosemite Rose B&B recently and had a wonderful time. The rooms are superb and the breakfasts were wonderful. The owners were a very nice couple. We especially enjoyed talking with their daughter, Mary. She gave us some new places to visit that we didn't know about and we thoroughly enjoyed the day she planned for us. We were just discussing what we thought the highlights of our trip were and the Yosemite National Park and the B&B were #1 for us. We will definitely stay there again if we get to that part of the country again.

We stayed two nights and were greatly impressed with the Yosemite Rose B&B. The location is close to Yosemite, which is why we chose it. Service was very good and the breakfast meals were excellent. We plan to return and have recommended it to our friends.
