This is Room One and it has a queen bed, private bath with shower, and direct access to balcony that overlooks the picturesque town of Amador City.
Guests enjoy a full hot gourmet breakfast in the hotel dining room - included in room rate.
Dinner is served, Tuesday through Sunday, in the Imperial Hotel dining room. The menu features local produce, fresh meat, and sustainably harvested fish and seafood.

We arrived to a wonderful welcome from Daniel who checked us in and gave us all the info we needed for our stay. We had purposefully not reserved a balcony room because we thought the street noise would be too much. In the many years since our last visit, the highway now bypasses the town and a balcony room would not have been noisy. We had dinner at the restaurant. Very good. There were several groups in the dining room but Daniel had reserved a table in the back next to the window. Very nice. Both my husband and I commented that even with the hight ceilings and numerous people in the dining room, the noise level was not too high. Breakfast in the AM was good. I would encourage anyone who stops in the area to go to the bakery just down the street. We got pre-made sandwiches made with Dutch Crunch rolls. Best Dutch Crunch ever!!! Wonderful time and hope to return to the area and more nights and dinners at the Imperial.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Imperial Hotel. The staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and pretty, and the restaurant was great. It made a great jumping off point for wine tasting and sight seeing. Our little walk through the 1840's-1880's graveyard up the hill behind the hotel was fascinating. We will definitely be back!

We needed a stop over between Portland, Oregon and Yosemite National Park. We looked for interesting places less than 4 hours north of Yosemite and since we were traveling with teenagers we couldn't focus on wine. The Imperial Hotel was wonderful - we had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and loved having the place to ourselves in the late evening. The food and service were better than expected and we were completely reinvigorated for our trip south.

Our friends recommended Imperial and we were not disappointed at all. This place is small and extremely efficient. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great food and hidden away in Amador County. I feel like we're giving away a secret and have already said too much.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was fine and the food delicious. I thought the room was a bit overpriced. Water termperature was fine for a shower but not hot enough for a bath. The warm robes in the closet were wonderful!
