"Recently we spent two glorious days and. Ights at Topside Inn. We booked this inn based on a BoothBay Harbor resident's recommendation and online reviews. We were not disappointed, and in fact, we wished that we could have stayed longer. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts throughout the United States; Ed and Brian are the most visible hosts that we have ever met. They were always easily accessible and never grew impatient with our multitude of questions and suggestion requests. Their recommendations immediately proved to be honest and accurate. We stayed in Room 1 by the front door with a beautiful view through large picture windows of the manicured lawn, Adirondack chairs, and the bay. It is a very spacious corner room with picture windows on two sides. The room decor is classy, fresh, and contemporary, and there were two large leather chairs and ottomans in the sitting area overlooking the view. The good news about Room 1 is the convenience to the porch, lawn, and public areas. The bad news is that we were ony a few steps away from the home asked cookies and other treats! We were wondering if our location would be noisy, however, all the guests were considerate. We slept with the windows open and never experienced a problem with noise, and the inn was fully booked. The location is great, too, you can literally park your car in the inn's lot and not move it again. It's just a short walk to everything, and the inn is easy to spot because it is definitely "topside." Thank you, Ed and Brian, for a memorable stay!"
