This was also my first time to Eureka Springs and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This B&B is off the beaten path but still close enough to get to everything. During our weekend there, the Blues Fest was in town, along with numerous bikers. But we were just far enough away that we weren't overwhelmed by noise or motorcycles. I agree that Keith is a magnificent cook and we really enjoyed the meals and stories we received. He is a wealth of information about what to do, see, eat and avoid while in town. To the reviewers who complained about the cleanliness, I say you're not staying at the Ritz Carlton. Dust? Come on... The house is 100+ years old, you are there for the atmosphere. You are there for the privacy. I would definitely stay there again (I would have moved in if my wife would have let me) and I would also definitely recommend it to my friends. Thank you, Mr. Hubbard for welcoming me into your home and making our stay there memorable...

Fun time and convenience at Ridgeway

What a fun way to spend a weekend get-away. Just a quiet retreat or a fun filled entertaining Eureka! Blues Fest party, Ridgeway is it. So close to everything and since Gayla and Keith are "in the Eureka" know they can direct you to the type of experience you want. They are so intuitive too. They know that if you are looking for some local fun the recommendations provided immediately. And Keith's cooking is delish. I even like the ghost stories and historical insight Gayla shared with me. It was just fun for this girl from the Texsas burbs!

I booked this B&B partly because of the reviews I read here and although the part about breakfast and Keith & Gayla being wonderful are true, I tend to stop agreeing there. I booked a package with a massage and that was all arranged for me before I got there so I didn't have to worry about anything. Keith is a wonderful cook and this comes from the mouth of a very picky eater. If you can, request the french toast, you won't be sorry. If you need suggestions on where to eat, what to do, and where to shop, Keith and Gayla are right there with suggestions. My problem with my stay was with cleanliness. There was food on the obviously unvacuumed carpet in my room, dust on the lamps and lampshades, dust on the shower curtain, and mold on the interior shower liner. My housemates for the weekend decided to leave early after discovering the water reservoir of the coffee maker in the sunroom was covered in black mold. They list that there are no pets in the home, however, there is a very large English Sheepdog named Grace (who is very sweet) that lives there. She was only allowed to come into the main house once while we were there, but the dog hair on the stained, spotted dining room rug implys that she gets full reign when there are not guests. She is also allowed to do her business on the front walk where it was left for me to have to step over on my way into the house. There are no TV's in the rooms in the main house, only in the suites. The weekend we were there, Keith and Gayla's family was also staying. They decided to watch a movie in the parlor together which prevented those of us paying for rooms to use the parlor and were thus relegated to the sunroom, which was okay because I truly enjoyed the company of my housemates. If you are looking for a place to stay that will provide fresh towels and make your bed daily, this is not the place for you. Also, if you are allergic to dogs, dust, and mold, look elsewhere.

Thank you for your comments about Keith's breakfasts. He loves to cook and make sure people are full and happy. We are also glad to hear you enjoyed the massage package and our suggestions for where to eat, what to do, and where to shop. We understand that some people might not be comfortable coming into a room that is already occupied by others. Keith's family was here because of a death in the family and we are very sorry you felt like you were not able to use the parlor. Shortly after you returned from dinner, our family moved to our living quarters, but we apologize that it was not available immediately. In the future to ensure our guests feel welcome in all parts of our inn, we plan on meeting our family elsewhere. We are concerned about our guests’ comfort and spend a lot of our time making sure our inn is clean. We have gone back through the house inspecting every nook and cranny to make sure it meets our high standards. If you found something you felt wasn't right, we are truly sorry because had we been guests, it would have also upset us. The rug in the dining room is antique, and it frazzles up when vacuumed or when chairs are pushed along the surface. We understand this gives the appearance of dog hair being present, and we are looking to replace the rug in the near future. Gracie, our dog, is never allowed to visit the main house unsupervised, as we understand this could bother our guests. She visits our guests upon request, but periodically comes through the front or back door to go to the bathroom. We have recently surveyed our guests about our cleanliness and have received positive feedback. We truly want our guests happy and satisfied. As you can see from our previous reviews, I feel we usually accomplish that goal. If someone is not happy, we always appreciate being informed about the issue, and always try to correct any problem immediately. If this isn’t possible, we love to offer gifts such as gift certificates and dinner vouchers.

I stayed there this summer for some alone time. It was so peaceful, quiet and comfortable! Kieth is a marvelous cook and host! I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to be in a serene setting.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and the service and atmosphere is everything and much more that has been desribed on the website. This was our first stay at a B&B and it was magical!! We loved everything about it, including the privacy!! We stayed in the little bungalow located at the side of the main house. Romantic, relaxing, refreshing, peaceful and rejuvenating are only a few words that describe our stay there!! Our plan was to go back every year on our anniversary and stay in that same room, but of course they are fully booked on the weekend we were going to be coming this year. So, to whomever is staying in this quaint, little B&B enjoy yourselves...you won't want to leave, I can promise you that!! Thank you so much to Keith and his lovely wife for all their help and hospitality!! Oh and it's all true about Keith's breakfast...it's to die for!!!

New Year's Eve at the Ridgeway House was great. Keith & Gayla had a small celebration Birthday Party for their house turning 100 years old. Breakfast was great the next morning. Great conversation, comfortable rooms and friendly people.

We keep coming back to stay with Keith and Gayla at the 1908 Ridgeway House. The hospitality is outstanding and the breakfasts are the best! We've been going to Eureka Springs for years and this is our favorite place to stay! The location is perfect! The house is a wonderful home and a great example of Eureka Springs architecture. You couldn't ask for nicer people than Keith and Gayla. They go out of their way to make your experience both relaxing and memorable!
