1 sleeve saltines
2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
12 oz chocolate chips
Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
Arrange the saltines in 1 layer.
Melt the butter and stir in the sugar. Cook about 5 minutes until sugar is melted and the mixture is thick and smooth.
Pour butter and sugar mixture over the saltines and spread to cover completely.
Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes until bubbly. Do not overcook. There is a thin line between done and burned.
Spread the chocolate chips and return to oven for a minute or so to make spreading easier.
Completely cover the whole thing with the melted chocolate chips.
Refrigerate until set and break in pieces.
