Shrimp Curry: Main Dish

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons Butter

  • 1/4 cup Onion, minced

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Curry powder

  • 3 tablespoons Flour

  • 3/4 teaspoons Salt

  • 3/4 teaspoons Sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon Ground ginger

  • 1 cup Chicken broth

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 2 cups Shrimp

Step 1:

Melt butter in a large pan. Add minced onion, and dry ingredients. Saute.

Step 2:

Remove from heat to add milk and chicken broth, then bring to boil, stirring frequently. Add shrimp and lemon juice. Continue cooking only until shrimp turn pink.

Step 3:

This recipe also works with chicken and beef. Serve with white rice and a variety of condiments. My favorites include: raisins, toasted coconut, chopped tomatos, cucumber, red pepper slices, pineapple, pine nuts.
