Crusty Butter-Bacon Corn Bread

Ingrédients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crisp cooked & diced bacon,drained
  • 3/4 cup bacon fat
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk

  1. Blend first 5 ingredients. Stir in cornmeal and bacon; mix well. Bombine eggs, buttermilk, and bacon fat, add all at once to flour mixture. Blend only until flour mixture is dampened. Do not heat. Bake 25 min. at 400 degrees *Private Receipe
