Blackberry Buttermilk Buckwheat Waffles: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Buttermilk Pancake/Waffle Mix

  • 1 1/2 cups Whole Buckwheat Flour

  • 2 cups Whole Milk

  • 3 Eggs

  • 4 tablespoons Olive Oil

  • 8 oz Fresh or Frozen Blackberries

  • 1 1/2 cups Water

Step 1:

Mix up buckwheat flour, buttermilk mix, milk eggs, and olive oil with a whisk. Blend frozen berries and 1 1/2 cups of water in blender and then add to mix.

Step 2:

Blackberry Buttermilk Waffle mix will last up to one week in the refrigerator. Do not over pour the mix in your waffle iron. Usually I pour the mix to about an inch of the mix spreading to the edge. Let is couple a few minutes till a nice golden brown.

Step 3:

Toppings: Honey, Maple Syrup, Blueberry syrup, Fresh Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, pine nuts and of course Whipped Cream.

Step 4:

I use the Vitantonio Premier Five-of-Hearts Waffler. This waffle iron is great at the waffles are thinner and lighter. The hearts can also be separated when sharing. Couples really love them.
