Judy's Fresh Apple Cake

Ingrédients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 cups Apples
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Canola Oil
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts or Pecans

  1. Peel, core & dice sweet apples (golden or red delicious) and place in medium size bowl.
  2. Break egg over apples.
  3. Add oil, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg & nuts. Blend thoroughly with wooden spoon or rubber spatula.
  4. Stir dry ingredients into apple mixture just until flour is moist. Batter will seem dry.
  5. Spread in a greased or sprayed 8" pan (non stick works well). Bake at 350 for 30 - 35 minutes until a wooden pick comes out clean. Immediately invert on a plate, cut into 16 squares with a serated knife, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm or cooled.
