Poached Pears: Appetizer-Snack

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 3 Ripe pear

  • 1/2 cup Firmly packed brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup Orange juice

  • 3 teaspoons Butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon Grated nutmeg

  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground cloves

  • 8 oz Vanilla yogert

Step 1:

Slice pears in half and remove the core and stem. Line the bottom of a glass baking dish with brown sugar. Place pears, cut-side down, on the sugar. Line the bottom of a glass baking dish with brown sugar. Place pears, cut side down, on the sugar.

Step 2:

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until pears are tender.

Step 3:

Place each pear in a bowl (cut-side up). Spoon some of the sauce from the baking dish on the pear and top with vanilla yogurt.
