Grandma's Cobbler: Dessert

Prep time:10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Self Rising Flour

  • 1/2 cup White Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Flavoring

  • 1/2 cup Butter

Step 1:

Whisk all ingredients (except for butter) together.

Step 2:

Melt butter into a 9" x 12" glass baking dish & pour the flour/sugar combination evenly over melted butter. It will be very liquid.

Step 3:

Prepare: 2 C. of fresh fruit sweetened with 1/4 cup white sugar OR 1 16 oz. pkg. frozen fruit (thawed) with 1/4 cup white sugar OR 1 16 oz. can of pie filling (Cherry, Apple, Blackberry etc.)

Step 4:

Spoon fruit over the existing mixture in the baking dish leaving space between each spoonful. This will allow the crust to bubble up through the fruit.

Step 5:

Bake at 350° for one hour. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
