Halcyon Farm Old-Fashioned Cornbread

Ingrédients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Brush iron cornstick pan (12 cornsticks) with melted butter.
  2. Thoroughly mix dry ingredients. Beat and mix egg and milk thoroughly.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients slowly and completely but do not over stir. Add and fold in extra butter without over stirring.
  4. Divide the batter evenly into the 12 individual cornstick compartments.
  5. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes (or until brown).
