Pat's Pecan Waffles: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup Flour
3 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 Eggs
1 1/4 cup Milk, Low fat
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1/2 cup Pecan- halves or large peices
Step 1:
Sift together dry ingredients -set aside
Step 2:
Separate eggs and beat whites until stiff - Beat or whip yolks until yellow - Add milk and mix thoroughly
Step 3:
Pour eggs and milk mixture into flour - stir until only a few small lumps remain. Stir in oil until mixed in. Fold egg whites into mixture with a rubbler spatula - lumps will remain. Let set five minutes while waffle iron is heating
Step 4:
Spray waffle iron with vegetable oil spray and put waffle batter in - put as many fresh pecan peices or halves as desired on top. Close lid and bake until steaming stops. Sprinkle top lightly with powdered sugar. Serve with melted butter and pecan syrup
