Shoofly Pie!: Dessert

Prep time:65-70 mins

Ingredients:

• 

  1 cup molasses

• 

  1/2 cup brown sugar

• 

  2 eggs beaten

• 

  1 cup hot H2o

• 

  1 teaspoon baking soda (dissolved)

• 

  2 cups flour siffted

• 

  1/3 cup shortening

• 

  3/4 cup brown sugar

• 

  2 pie shell

Step 1:

mix molasses, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, hot water, and baking soda in a mixing bowl

Step 2:

pour mixture into pie shells

Step 3:

mix flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar and shortening or butter together in a seperate bowl, for best results mix crumb topping with your hands

Step 4:

sprinkle crumb topping on both pie shells

Step 5:

bake at 400 for 10 minutes then reduce heat to 350 and bake another 40-50 minutes.
