Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins: Bread

1 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cups sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 12 muffin cups.
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix mashed bananas, eggs, melted butter and milk in smaller bowl.
Stir banana mixture into dry ingredients just until blended, then gently stir in chocolate chips. Do not overmix.
Scoop batter into prepared muffin cups, filling each 3/4 full. Bake about 20 minutes or until tops are pale golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out with some melted chocolate but no crumbs.
Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to rack.
