Dried Cherry Scones

Ingrédients

  • 3 cup flour
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 5 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 4 oz Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Dried Cherries
  • 1 egg
  • 10 tablespoons Milk
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 3 tablespoons Milk

  1. Mix together flour, baking powder and sugar in large bowl and with a pastry cutter, mix in 1 stick of butter so flour and butter mixture is crumbly.
  2. Add Dried Cherries.
  3. Mix 1 egg and 10 Tbs. of milk together and pour into above flour and cherry mixture to form dough.
  4. Roll out with rolling pin to 3/4" thickness. Cut into 2" circles, mix together 3 Tbs. milk and egg yolk and brush this mixture over scone tops, then sprinkle with sugar.
  5. Bake at 375F degrees for 20 minutes or until slightly golden on top. Serve plain or with jams and jellies. Enjoy
