2 tablespoons Flour
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt (omit if adding salty meats)
1/2 teaspoon White Pepper
1 cup Whipping cream
1/2 cup Milk
To Make Filling:Whisk together the first five ingredients.
Blend in the cream and milk.
Now you are ready to add whatever you wish by evenly distributing in the pie crust, which should be partially baked.
Examples, 1-2 cups of shredded cheese, meat and/or vegetables. Pour in the basic quiche mixture in the prepared pie crust.
If using high-moisture vegetables, such as tomatoes, zucchini or mushrooms, they should be cooked first to evaporate some of their water content.
Preheat oven to 375. Place the filled pie pan on a baking sheet. Bake about 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is just set.
Let the quiche rest for 8-10 minutes before slicing and serving it.
